Thanks, I did start a thread this spring about the truck. There's more pics there but of course there sideways. It's called uncle elvins 48 F1, not sure how to post a link. If anyone could fix those pics would be great

NDF I have no idea why pics go sideways after posting. I just thought that was a cool shot and it needed to be adjusted. We need more pics of the truck and what your plans are. You may have already posted I'll have to go back and read the original thread

Yep the pics are fine when looking on a iPhone. Some are sideways on the computer. Thanks, I'm excited to get it on the road again.

Yesterday I gave up a chance to go to the PSU football game in a deluxe luxury box to stay home and get the new hood hinges on my 54. I made a great choice!

And so I am trying to catch up on lost time behind the wheel. Today I was on my way with my wife and a friend (female) and the friends mother to treat them to lunch for their birthdays. Then my sister in law decided to go along and the friend's 15 year old daughter went along. I looked around and it was me with 5 women on a beautiful sunny fall day. My wife knew what I was thinking and asked if I wanted to stay home. Whew! I made a great choice!

So I got my truck out and went to a local Cruise In. Then I went for a drive to the Hyner View State Park which is about 25 miles north of my house. Hyner View is 1940 feet above sea level and 1300 feet above the West Branch of the Susquehanna River below. The stone overlook was built during the Depression by the CCC. You have a beautiful view of the valley up and down the river.

Enroute to Hyner View.

Out the back window.

That stone wall on the top is the Hyner View Lookout. That's where I'm headed.

The view from North to South.

That's not a bad idea. But you can't get vehicles close to the Lookout.
