You made me look. PA has the highest, WA has the second. Missouri is #47. they just tried to pass an increase in the last election, but it didn't pass. I think it didn't pass because way too much of the money was going to the highway patrol. If it all went to roads, I bet it would have passed. https://taxfoundation.org/state-gaso...ax-rates-2017/
There are some locations in MO that are $1.99, I paid $2.14 last night.
Got this picture last week on my way home with a Ton of gravel for a project I've been working on. Chevron is "Top Tier" here and runs a bit higher - our lowest in the area is $2.99. This particular station, owned by the same family since 1947. - Bob
Someone really needs to replace our legislature. With the highest gas tax in the nation (or maybe we're next to highest) Regular is down now I saw today to $3.09. Premium and Diesel is about the same, both running around $3.59. Sometimes it really gets to me, then I'm reminded by our northern neighbors, like Tom here, that it's only about .82c/litre. Sorry Tom.
At least we don't have a state income tax. There's that.

Yet. The goofyheads in Olympia have been trying to stuff one down our throats for years, even after 8 different votes of the people have defeated an income tax in the last 40 years. It's unconstitutional in Washington, and even with that the city of Seattle still thinks it's OK to impose one of their own for city residents.
