X = 391 4V FT V8 engine with low propane gas option. Or: 534 4V Super Duty V8 with low propane gas option. Both were Domestic Special Orders.

But is it the original?
1957/86 C series doors interchange. Warranty Plate riveted to the left door face below the latch on 1957/79's. 1980/86's used a printed Certification Label.
People replaced damaged left doors with used doors. 99.9% of the time, they failed to install the original Warranty Plates on the replaced doors.

If the Warranty Plate is original to the truck, it is a 1977.
But is it the original?

Vin help with a l series
Ive got what appears to be a 1978 l9000. Kwy that's whats on the hood. The vin tag is gone, the doors seemed to have been replaced at one point so i just have the vin number off the title.

D = Caterpillar model V225-3208 8 cylinder 636 cid diesel or Cummins model KT450 6 cylinder 1150 cid diesel.
V = Kentucky Truck Assembly Plant.
BA7721 = 1978.
Warranty Plate riveted to the left door face below the latch.
Safety Standard Certification Label glued to the B pillar below the striker plate. See pic below:
