Well I got the Title YEA!! But it has the same Vin# says the model is
LTCC6C Body type T8 Title was issued in 1982 so it was only 14 years old then and I doubt it would have been rusty doors as the reason? Who knows.
I have been looking into getting a Ford Tractor for over the road, but finding one with a decent rear gear/trans combo is a bit rough.
I have found a couple i like but there all across the US.
My question is do i have to ask you to decode each one? Which may or may not get annoying or is there a way i can look it all up myself? Even if i have to pay a little bit. I really need to be able to do 60-70 without the engine screaming so im running the trucks i find through a ratio calc to see what the engine RPM would be at. I have to know the Rear Gear Ratio and Trans final ratio tho.
The truck im looking at now has a trans code - PN, and a axle code - 63.
Would you happen to know what they are? Its for a 94 LT9000. The sale post just says 10spd eaton and its the 350hp 855 Cummins.
Hello, I am trying to decode the VIN to verify what the engine, trans, and rear axle are in this truck. I think its a 391 4V gas engine, 5 spd trans and some type of two speed rear axle with wedge brakes and air maxi cans. I'm guessing a late 70's truck?

Bill, Thank you very much for the quick reply. I have owned and still own many Louisvilles, most diesels, a couple gas ones and this one had me guessing for the year. I have resorted to used parts most of the time as most of the Ford big truck replacement parts in the Northeast US are getting very hard to find. I will post a parts question in the appropriate parts thread. Thanks again! Dano
