Well the only thing I can check for sure is the wheel base it is 156 so I am fairly sure the door tag is not from this truck.

Well I got the Title YEA!! But it has the same Vin# says the model is
LTCC6C Body type T8 Title was issued in 1982 so it was only 14 years old then and I doubt it would have been rusty doors as the reason? Who knows.

I have been looking into getting a Ford Tractor for over the road, but finding one with a decent rear gear/trans combo is a bit rough.

I have found a couple i like but there all across the US.

My question is do i have to ask you to decode each one? Which may or may not get annoying or is there a way i can look it all up myself? Even if i have to pay a little bit. I really need to be able to do 60-70 without the engine screaming so im running the trucks i find through a ratio calc to see what the engine RPM would be at. I have to know the Rear Gear Ratio and Trans final ratio tho.

The truck im looking at now has a trans code - PN, and a axle code - 63.

Would you happen to know what they are? Its for a 94 LT9000. The sale post just says 10spd eaton and its the 350hp 855 Cummins.

Any and All help is appreciated.

You either omitted or typed the above Warranty Plate codes out of sequence, making them difficult to decode.

Please either post a pic of the plate or type in sequence as they appear on the Warranty Plate.

1st Line: VIN = F70WVT47216

2nd line: W.B. / COLOR: / MODEL aka TYPE/GVW: F703 / BODY: / TRANS: / AXLE: E3M

3rd line: MAX GVW LBS: 23000 (gleaned from F703) / DSO:

What I need to see is a pic of the Warranty Plate: Riveted to the left door face below the latch.

1970's LN800?

Hello, I am trying to decode the VIN to verify what the engine, trans, and rear axle are in this truck. I think its a 391 4V gas engine, 5 spd trans and some type of two speed rear axle with wedge brakes and air maxi cans. I'm guessing a late 70's truck?

Pic of Warranty Plate doesn't appear when post is quoted, so I had to type the info:

N80 = LN800 (gas).

F = 391 4V FT engine.

V = Kentucky Truck Assembly Plant.

T11303 = 1974.

150" Wheelbase.

N806 = LN800 (gas), 31,000 lbs. GVWR

4A8: 4A = Black H/D Vinyl / 8 = 81A Standard Cab.

O = Fuller model T905-B 5 speed Direct or New Process 542-FL 5 Speed Direct.

GBN:

GB = Eaton model 18221 Two Speed Rear Axle / 7.17/9.77 / 22,000 lbs. Rear Axle Capacity.

N = Ford 9,000 lbs. Capacity Front Axle with Power Steering.

31,000 lbs. Gross Vehicle Weight Rating.

115150:

11 = Boston MA Ford District Sales Office, where the original selling dealer ordered the truck from.

5150 = Domestic Special Order number, truck ordered special by the original purchaser, not "bought off the lot."

*When there is no COLOR code stamped on the Warranty Plate, truck painted a non standard color per the original purchasers order. This makes it a Domestic Special Order.

Bill, Thank you very much for the quick reply. I have owned and still own many Louisvilles, most diesels, a couple gas ones and this one had me guessing for the year. I have resorted to used parts most of the time as most of the Ford big truck replacement parts in the Northeast US are getting very hard to find. I will post a parts question in the appropriate parts thread. Thanks again! Dano
