F70DVN12439 best guess:
F70 = F-700
D = 330-2V H.D.
V = Kentucky Truck Plant
N12439 = 1972 Model, built November 1971
Cheers

F61EVCE1890
Fourth position "E" should be a 361-2V if it is a 1968 model.
Are you sure the last "E" is accurate? Should be a number, and an 8 instead of an E would be correct for a 1968: C81890 = Jan. 1968.
Cheers

The F600 is a 1978 and the letter in question is a E.

Well, shucks, that changes things by 10 years...
"E" code motor in 1978 for F-600 should be a 361-4V X.D.
CE1890 is definitely a 1978 model.
