F61 = F600 gas, 4x2

D = 330 2V HD FT gas V8

V = Kentucky Truck Plant

T21938 = 1974 numerical series, November 1973 production

That year 330 HD will have the larger crank snout, larger oil pump drive as well as the FT heads & manifolds, and certain other items.

Tune up parts are the same as any FE pickup, since it's so hard to get anyone at a parts store that knows what a medium truck is.

A Pertronix electronic ignition will get rid of the points if you like.

Hello,

I am new to all of this and have an L800. I am trying to determine the year. Could someone kindly point me in the right direction? Serial number is F80FVT28605.

Thanks,

Matt

That does not work for 1955. It does work for 1969.

What engine is in it? A Y-block V8?
