1973 F600. The Vin is F60DVQ20690 ... I'm hoping to figure out the gross vehicle weight rating, specifically combined with a load in tow. I know it has an 15,000lb 2 speed rear end and I believe a 5000lb front. I've seen earlier model sales flyers from the 60's advertising 25,500 combined gvrw? Any help would be appreciated 👍 Thanks
F60 = F600 gas, 2WD
D = 330 2V HD FT gas V8 (has the large diameter crank snout and distributor drive like all other FT engines)
V = Kentucky Truck Plant
Q20690 = 1973 numerical series
No GVWR in the VIN for that year. The model number, if present on the title, will decode to a GVWR. Look for F600, F601, F610 or other simiar numbers.
As to your GVWR if you have a 15,000 lb rear axle and a 5,000 front, the most it could be is 20,000 and more likely 19,200 or 19,700 as there are no models showing with 20,000 GVWR.
The highest shown for '73 F600s is 24,000. Most GVWR ratings are below the combined axle weights. Some are equal. I think I've seen one that was greater than the combined axle weights and I believe that was an error. Errors on the warranty plate are not uncommon.
You can tow up to 10,000 lbs without a CDL with that truck, but you need to get rid of the widow maker wheels, go through the brakes on the truck, make sure the trailer has excellent brakes, wire your truck up for the lights and brakes on the trailer, and install a slow moving vehicle warning on the back of the trailer.
V = 239 CID V8
5 = 1955
K = Kansas City Assembly Plant
23807 = Serial number
The rest on the label itself as to transmission, axle etc.
Your 4 speed synchronized transmission was probably a Warner T98.
Looks like a single speed axle at 6.8 : 1.
It appears you have widowmaker wheels, so watch out there.
Anything else?

Thats fantastic. Thanks.
Wheels are priority number one and I have a guy who makes Wheels for agricultural vehicles who might be able to either weld my centres into new Wheels are copy the bolt pattern etc.
Can't thank you enough. I'm in Scotland so help here is hard to find but you guys are great.
Thanks again.

Sorry, one last thing for now. If it is stock are 6 wheels the same size? They all have the same dimension of tyres but not sure if fronts fit rears etc? They are all 5 bolt with 5 hand holes.
Thanks.

F25HRM42043 / F250
F25 = F250 4x2
H = 390 2V FE gas V8
R = San Jose Assembly Plant
M42043 = 1972 numerical series (August 1971 production)
F75EVB11748
F75 = F750
E = 361 2V OR 4V XD FT gas V8. (for '76 both 2bbl and 4bbl 361s used the same code. "XD" was added during the smog era, mainly means the same thing as "HD") (I have a conflicting source that says 4bbl. What carb do you have?)
V = Kentucky Truck Plant
B11748 = 1976 numerical series, December 1975 production.
(These codes and serial numbers are nearly identical for a 1967 truck--but, the assembly plant code V would not work as that plant didn't open until 1969)
1980, the last year for the 11 digit VIN!
F70 = F700 gas
K = 429 4V "Lima" gas V8 -- OR -- 429 4V LP gas V8 (LP gas is a special order item)
V = Kentucky Truck Plant
HA8529 = 1980 numerical series
