Haha you don't get to be foreman of several million dollar ocean front properties because the expectations are low. But I hear ya. I only said that because I would hate to start a flame fest and lose the privilege of being here. I like this place and I can talk to super duty v10 owners lol
I can imagine, as a foreman, you probably don't expect everyone to perform at the same level that you do. You may wish they all would, but you know the performance levels are not equal. Hopefully you can instill your performance and professionalism into the guys that work for you. That old saying "lead by example" has been one of my life's motto's.

I have heard of guys making 6 figures in the fields with the experience that I have, but just not sure if I like the instability of the industry. We will have to see how next spring looks. Had a big wig family friend working for Halliburton down in Houston that was offering me a decent position a few years back, but warned me of the industry.
I hope that it is not one of those things that I look back on later in life and say "I shoulda" LOL
Trash has always been drawn to the booming areas to prey on the working. We just need some of the old laws of yesteryear to even that playing field and be gone with the scum.
speaking my kinda language scrap. It's sad because it was true 100% Americana up here and now women can't even go out at night and not feel a little worried. I'm not making this **** up
Any of you not like Tow/Haul on the torqshift? I feel like it takes me into too high of rpm's too quickly. I love the braking feature on it but the rest of it I'm not too keen on. I love the truck when it's in that 2500-3000rpm range with a trailer load of 5-10,000lbs. I feel like it pulls strong there. Maybe not accelerating the fastest (who cares anyway towing) but just feels good. Anyone else?

The only time I used it on my F350 6.0L was going downhill. Loved how it would hold speed on 6%-7% with 8k lbs TT behind me. Sure wish my 4R100 would do that.

Well put and that motto is one that was recently said to me. I don't want you to think I was attacking you personally as a professional or your fellow career men. It's just my observation of the current situation. I was once a psychology major so I microanalyse my surroundings and take note of developing patterns.
You seem like a wise chap. The time is now to cash in on this hog before it comes crashing down. Housing will be your only problem unless your company can set you up somewhere.
Hey Ron, Just out of curiosity, what are gas and diesel prices like up there around the oil fields? Do employees get breaks on gas and/or fuel?
Fuel is priced higher than the state average the closer you get to the bakken. 3.94 for cheapo gas and 4.14 for diesel in Belfield. Umm I've heard of employees getting "free" red fuel at their rig but Idk if that's the norm
Thanks for the input Ron. Funny. I was a Psych major also. I was looking at Child Psych, but realized that I would have to deal with a bunch of retarded parents. LOL Figured out that was not the route for me. My current employer is putting me through some management courses now. Once I finish these up in about 9 months then I will have a very good opportunity for promotion.
Our local ethanol blend is now at $3.54. Was just $3.35 two weeks ago.

Sweet Christmas Jesus. We are really getting the shaft. I said 3.79 for the blended fuel yesterday.
I paid $3.85 yesterday for 10% ethanol blend!
$81 even to fill up. They say it because of a broken pipeline...ya right!
Someone in Iran sneeze's and it goes up and then just in case that person has a cold they don't bother lowering it until someone in D.C. notices. Really hoping to see some real "change" this next term.
I've been trying to post this for a while but something always comes up lol anywho fellers, why did y'all choose to buy a V10?? I mean with blowing black smoke is all the rage. Lol
