I pull my harder than most so I change every 30K, not to much fun but I hate to break down 2000 miles away form the old home base it always takes to much $$$ to get back on the road.

I changed mine a couple of years ago and the hardest part was getting the silicone to seal. They don't have a gasket so you have to make a silicon one, I can tell you for sure the orange stuff doesn't work to well but the black stuff is better.

Having an inaugural party at our new house tomorrow. Looking forward to be able to enjoy beverages and not have to be a designated driver. Stay safe, be smart.

Being the hostess/ host is even harder than the designated driver keeping everyone happy and worrying that there not threshing your place.

Tell me about it. I have intruders, OH I mean guests sleeping downstairs right now. I wish people would be more prepared and go the hell home at the end of the night. I was hoping to make love to the ole lady but she passed out cause the intruders, OH I mean guestes got her too damn drunk. I'm calling BULL on her tomorrow. Bad start to the weekend.

We have lots of intruders to but not at the house but the whole town and surrounding area Our homebase is located in a small town next to a Corp of Engineers lake so on big weekends it's a overcrowded disaster. We just stay close to the house and wait for them to leave and them go about are small town business again. I bought a new fish finder for the boat yesterday so I will install that and wait for them all to leave so I can try it out.

OOOH I bet everyone loves that. Hopefully they all know how to act when they're in town . My favorite guests are up and out of my house before I get out of bed, but I'm an early riser so it dont happen as much as I'd like. My wife is so friendly.hahah Guess opposites do attract.

Oh I rule with an iron fist. Mess up my house and ill own you until it's fixed. Some of our friends are either not married and/or don't have any kids. They're still in that party til 4am sleep til noon phase of their life so it can be trouble when we're saying to ourselves "ok time for you to go home, our little alarm clocks will be waking us up in 5 hours while you sleep the day away".

Yo everyone! We're camping for the first time this season. Felt good to put the trailer on the truck and burn some fuel yesterday.

All this talk of fluid changes has me thinking. I'm going to do my tranny and differentials at 50k miles. The shop will be doing my tranny, but I'm going to install some Mag Hytec covers on the diffs so future changed are easy.

Finally got the cap (topper) off the back of the truck this weekend... and WASHED it!

Even without wax, it still shines... now to find the time to actually wax it...

It's amazing how much that cap makes the truck wallow in turns...

Pulled our camper ~400 miles for the first time this season. Surprised next door campers with the truck: "Thats GAS?!" LOL (Although he didn't notice there was at least 3 other V-10's in the campground.)
Only hitch: Found a screw in a tire with 100 miles to go--since the tire wasn't low and I didn't hear any leaks I kept on going. Made it without issue and took the truck to a tire store--I figured I'd let them pull the screw out. Turns out the screw was less than 1/2" deep and barely left a mark in the tire LOL.

Hey Art, I saw your videos over on youtube. I just ordered a Magnaflow 12589 for my X. The current 3" system already has the y-pipe done and the cat was removed by the PO. The muffler on her now is too loud. I like the sound of the 12589. Thanks for posting the videos.

I too got back from camping yesterday. Had a great time, spent too much money, ate too much you know the usual. Before I left for camping, I took a load of scrap metal to the scrap yard, went in at 10,800 lbs and came out at 10,080. Nice chunk of change but I didn't realize the truck was so heavy. I have been running around doing three jobs at once carrying different tools and materials for each job. So before I left for camping I put the truck on a diet, took out some tools and materials and loaded it back up with firewood. Oh well just put some more air in the bags.
