Turns out we didn't need them at all. Lotsa' genset power, and my fellow campers were using (blasphamy) BATTERY lanterns! They never came out of the back of the truck.
The Coleman Powermate, however, was a complete, QUIET, success, but the temps were so moderate that we didn't use the A/C at all, and the microwave very little. Burned less than a half-gallon of gas, total, over five days.
Alas, this is the only photo of it that I caught, and it's just a small portion of a larger photo, cropped and blown up to where it's fuzzy.

Hello SpringerPop, saw a couple of your posts on Forest River Forum. Bought a new 35 ft 2013 FR Hemisphere last year. The wife (and kids) and I have been campers for over 30 years.
Yup. That's me over there, too. See the little decal in the lower back window of the little Flagstaff? It's my FRF (Forest River Forums) decal that says "SpringerPop". Who ordered decals - Forest River Forums
I have nowhere as many posts there (under 200) as here.

Guess I love my truck more, huh?

It is not just the truck..... this looks like a coleman thread.....
The moderators are a lot more "Keep the subject to Forest River/Camping...." . No politics, no religion, no nasty thang talk.... or you get a first, second and third... 'warning'.... Some at FR are not really a friendly bunch, cann't take a joke or a little real world advice. I think that I have had about 10 posts deleted I guess that anit bad for out of 800.
Getting ready to go camping for 10 days, leaving tomorrow.
need to drag out the skilsaw and nail gun and make up a wooden carry case for this tranny/ hodgepodge of a 228F/E for my buddy.
he made a comment a few weeks back on how neat and rock solid reliable these lanterns seem to be, and wouldn't mind having one....
well i got this complete hodgepodge for free so i think hes getting a lantern. but im taking it up a notch and building a nice wood box to hold the lantern and a gallon of fuel.

Time to pull out my old rusty (Thermos or Western Auto?) and work on it this weekend. I do love a challenge. My plan is to be cooking on it by Sunday night
i keep looking at my ever growing backlog of lanterns i have gotten that need work... but nothing thats as tough as that stove, but i bet you will have it looking like a rockstar in no time!
id like to get this 228F/E and its box done before the end of july but thats looking quite slim.
Ever thought of making a coleman case outta scrap wire and solder?
usually the scrap wire i get is short pieces or fried, so it don't hang around too long before it goes to the scrapyard. last i checked clean copper was almost $3 bucks a pound.
