Here's a couple of pictures of my "Electronic Baby's" First is my SX-980 reciever. This was made in 1978, the other picture is my Pioneer Cassette tape deck, and Reverb Amp. The we're late 1979/1980. Ok.... Enough electronics, unless somebody want's to chime in...... Not Ford stuff, but it is what is happening today.
Hopefull the person that has e-mailed me a few times today will show and buy some of this stuff I have on "The List"..... I'll go get the parts I need to mount my new stereo in the 01 tomorrow.
I'm all for the electronics photos. I love the old stereo equipment. I'll have to get some pics of the stereo going in the Buick or Ms Dent. Not too sure which is getting this prize system. Can we upload pictures to the site direct from our computers? Photo*****et is still blocked here at work.
If you have a good speakers for surround, you can get some good prices on Recievers.
I have everything hooked up that I brought upstairs today. Front, center channel, and powered sub are going. Maybe string the rear surrounds tomorrow.
Chili is not too far from coming out of that Crock Pot with some Chili Dogs tonight!
Bet I get the bedroom to myself!
I have a pair of Bose and a pair of Optimus in the shop I used for my stereo system. It flat out rocked if A&B were both switched on when NHRA was on the tube. It was louder with just one pair going at a time though. I'm kind of thinking the surround sound might be the way to go for the TV and then the stereo and old speakers for tuner and whatnot.
Is the 5.1 optical plug a standard or something special from one system to the other?
I would think that anything newer would have that 5.1 plug.
I have an another Sony Pro Logic in the garage/my room. There I have an old set of Bose large bookshelf in the front, and some Sony's in the rear, and a Sony center channle.
I'll send you my cell in a pm.
I spent some time doing laundry and cleaning. When I have a day off, I feel like I'm wasting time unless I get something accomplished.
Rich, the guy that got his vehicle back and hasn't paid me yet, I trust. He's a good guy and I have dealt with him before. The other guy with the two trucks didn't get his trucks back yet. (and won't until I get paid) Then there's the guy with the carburetors. I needed to build one for me anyway, so I figured it wouldn't be any big deal to build two. If he shows for them, great! If not, the carburetor for the Chevelle is already built. I used the reusable gaskets when I built them, so it's just a matter of a few pieces to change out to put one on a single four barrel manifold. I have one on the shelf for the 390 as well.
Chip, it was good to talk to you, even for a little bit!
Alan, brother I hope you do better than I have when I let somebody have my work, and "I'll pay you later"...... Sorry brother but I've learned just not to do that any more. A few have shown me better, but most have just left me pi$$ed off! And I'm glad there are still more of "Us" that still think there are good people out there.
Well feller's I'm a bit buzzed or so...
Better Attack dem Chili Dog's..........
I realize something like this should be in the want ads...but I thought I'd pass it along since a couple of guys here seem to have a thing for oversized tires on Ford rigs.
I used to love all that stereo stuff, but now that I live in an apartment I just could not enjoy it! I do need a turn table! I keep saying im going to buy the one with usb output so I can import my songs to I tunes!
well it has been a cold miserable day..but i did get the box's made for the 53 olds bumper, 47 gmc crossmember, and 53 gmc steering wheel..now if i had the energy i would make a box for the 58 buick aluminum brake drums.. and that will take care of the parts i have off already..to cold out to get the beltline trim off the 53 buick or the other parts already paid for..but all in all a good day....
