RC, I can R&R the trans for you, but I don't want to rebuild it. I'm just not that familiar with them.
Ches, I'd just buy the patch panel for it. Sounds like extra work to cut up good fenders and splice them in to the quarters. I think it'll be a nicer job with the bought panels, too. Not to mention you'll be short a pair of fenders if you tear one up while wheelin'. (things happen)
I just totaled up what everyone owes me. If I get everyone to pay me by tomorrow, I'll either get the tire machine from the auction, or I'll have enough to buy a new one. Either way, my days of breaking tires down by hand are OVER!
RC, no I don't use paypal. It cuts down on the scammers. I THINK the auction starts at 0900. Don't quote me though. I'll go by the sign today and make sure.
As far as the trans goes, no problem. Just let me know when you want to do it. Save your money, though. You have some iron I'd be interested in trading for.
Got the POSChevy home! had to pull start it. It died 4 times, (no starter) over heated in front of college, coolant/water all over the road. we pulled it the last 4 miles with a tow strap!
Alan I'm thinking about finder flares, how much wheel well has to be cut out? may not even need patches?
I get a kick out of the uphill, both ways thing. When I was a kid we lived on a hilltop, and I had to walk down a long hill then back up another hill to get to school on the next hill top. It REALLY WAS uphill, both ways for me! ....and in Pennsylvania, there were plenty of times it was a foot of snow or more. Up there, 12" of snow would be a 2 hour late arrival. We got three feet one time and school was only closed for two days!
What's a f I nder flare? You're gonna use flares over the wheels if you find them? Oh! You mean FENDER flares! lol, j/k! I couldn't resist.
...but seriously, if you use Bushwhacker flares, (not cheap) I think you trim 4" out of those. (Not positive, but I know it's a lot) There are some flares that don't require ANY trimming, so you have to figure out what you're gonna use. It will all depend on the brand and style you go with.
You all know I cant spell. I would ask my son how to spell it, but he is at school! Some place I should have spent more time! The little red lines only tell you if it's spelled right, not if its the right word!
