That '33 kit is some kinda' COOL!!! I'd love to build/own one..but with the Coyote 5.0 and Tremec trans, I'd be into it close to $30k BEFORE wheels/tires/rear-end/paint...TOO MUCH for this old retired fart!
What do the "special headlights" look like?
I got Deb's '68 out the other day...drove it a bit, changed the oil, topped off the coolant and put it away for a few more days. Gotta get it back out this week and give it some of my "elbow grease" to get it ready for Somernites Cruise next Saturday...Mustangs are the featured car this month.
Here are a few shots of it that I took while I had it out this week:

looks nice Brett. eventually I have to take a voltage test on my alternator for tgm my lights are dim and flickering a bit, or pulsing. someone else from the Washington chapter has recommended some other headlights for me that I might invest in down the road.
The lights are pretty expensive at $85 a piece, however Cj Pony Parts has a sale right now, get a $30 gift card for every $100, so I bought these and an armrest to help finish gathering parts for my door panels restore. Got a $60 gift card, that pays for half of the LED tail lights I want.

I think that every older vehicle needs to look into a relay set for the headlights, they really help. I'm going to see if RJMs kit will work for my Mustang, if so then I may buy 2 sets, one for the coupe and one for the Zebra.
I've seen a set-up similiar to the ones I posted for the square bulb set-up. I'd say look for that or get a set of Silverstars with the relay mod.
I'll have to check up on this relay mod. I have heard word about it from fellows like you guys but i don't quite understand it. I know the basics about things like capacitors and fuses and their purpose but relays, lets say that part of auto tech class i didn't really pay much attention. I may or may not have been more attentive to the girl sitting next to me But anyways aren't relays switches sort of? Yahinko (WAFTE member who i met out a meet up we set up) was suggesting either a higher amp alt to help with my amp and subs, or trying to retrofit a smaller pulley to increase the rpms of it since ol TGM lopes a little bit till i hit the gas
I read it a bit, and what i thought was right, a relay is essentially a remote switch. But what i don't understand is how would this help the light flickering? It seems more like i would need a capacitor that would store up the energy to power the lights full on. Though i could be wrong.
A relay takes the load off of your headlight switch, reducing a fire hazard and prolonging the switches life. Also in a kit like Ryans, you get bigger wires going to headlights which allow more current to give the lights the full 12 volts making them brighter.
A higher amp alt is a great option if you can find one cheap. Most aftermarket high amps alts are like 300 and up!! I was lucky and found the diesel alt bolts right up to the 351w and is 130 amps vs my standard 95.
I see. yeah my alt is for the stock 78 which was about 75 amps I think. I don't think it was meant to run a stereo system though. I'm not sure what other alternators would fit my motor. I can talk to my friendly autozone peeps and see if they have any in store that would work.
Work on the Bronco got pushed back again. I crawled under the coupe to get tighten a few bolts I thought were loose causing an slight oil drip. Wrong, everything is leaking, looks like heads gaskets are blown too. So a quick trip to the local Advance and $75 later I have a one piece oil pan gasket and a complete top end gasket set. Already got the pan off, sanded and a fresh coat of Ford blue drying. Hope to have oil pan fixed tonight or early morning. Need to order head bolts for top end.
Hopefully I'll have time to fix the Zebra's header gasket before the end of days come....

That's coming pretty soon you know. December 21st, 2012. It's OBVIOUS this is the REAL end of the world. The Mayan calendar CLEARLY predicts it is. Since 2000, then 2001 (because 2000 wasn't), and the May 21st thing like last year were all not the end of times, this one FOR SURE is. ........okay maybe not
Anyways, you have an awesome looking coupe, but the Bronco is important too!
Here is the bottom end of the motor with the pan off. I think I'll go ahead and grab a new oil pump since its right there and its only $15.

This is what I found in the oil pan, not a good thing to find....
