Hopefully it didn't do a terrible amount of damage to the rotor.

Ok, well i took the hub off. For some reason the inner wheel bearing bit the dist and got shredded into next to nothing. This is all that's left of the inner bearing and the seal

Not sure, everything was still tight coming apart. Maybe not enough grease?

Anyway, once I gather the new parts I plan to use Encho's awesome write-up for reference to make sure everything goes back together smoothly.

Glad to hear my work will help you bud. You should look closely at the bearing's groove in the spindle.

Yeah thats what I'm worried about is the spindle. I still have part of the bearing to get off the spindle, hopefully its not too messed up, otherwise I'll be looking for a spindle I guess.

Yeah they are toast. I still don't know what caused it but wish I did so I can prevent it from happening again. I'm gonna double check the other side after I fix this hub.

Thankfully I found the receipt for the bearings and seals. I just got them in September so the warranty should still be good. Score!

Would those be covered? Won't they try to say that you installed them incorrectly?

Nice, now you just need yo take that race out. I've seen soldering a slide hammer to the race to pull it out. That's what they did with my pilot bearing.

Yeah, I think I can get it out with a long punch and a few love taps.

For reference Advance auto can price match quite a ways down from retail and any employee can give you 20% off without needing a manager. Doesnt hurt to ask for a break on parts.

Now I just need to sell these extra heads I have. Anyone looking to upgrade their 302? I have GT40P heads and the proper exhaust manifolds. I've read that these are good for about 15 hp to the wheels over stock E7 heads.

Hmm you know, i may know someone that might want some. He has i think an 87 ranger that he is doing a 302 swap on. I will ask him and see what he says. And he lives over in Indiana i think. I knew him from my days on The Ranger Station.

Awesome, I actually have the entire GT40 intake and all too, the whole she-bang all the way to the TB and most of the expo wire harness too. Just let me know I would make him a pretty good deal, only killer would be shipping.
