I did get the Bronco back up and running tho. I bit of news there, might have a interesting offer. I was actually offered a potential trade, I was talking to a kid who wants the Zebra and said he only had a few grand but I could prolly have this old truck sitting behind his grandad's barn as a trade along with the cash. Its in rough shape he says but its an early bronco. He has to talk to his dad about it first but shouldnt be an issue as the truck has been under a cover for a few years now.
Thank God you still have the Bronco, for what its worth you can do what ever the heck you want.........I still respect you for what you've done in the past, really
I'm not the biggest fan of dodge but it's a people mover. I won't go slandering the name. As for the Zebra though, it depends on what "Early bronco" means. If it is like mine the that wouldn't be a bad deal, if it is the kind that looks like an International scout, then go for it if thats what you want. Those are cool in all but i prefer the FSB over those. IMHO of course.
LOL see someone other than me is disappointed at you..
i know a guy right next store to me who has 3 x 7.3 powerstrokes each one of themhas 300k +
and his dodge cummins has only 110k and blew his trans already..
ford is #1 hands down
92-96 is the best but the 99-03 7.3s you can really beat the sht out of em
Thanks guys, its all good. There was a day when I wouldn't have considered owning anything but a Ford however, the features and ride quality of this truck surprised me. I'll just have to see how it pans out in the long run.
The vipers are forever cool I think. So much power in a small car, calls back on the early days of Shelby.

Both the powerstroke and the cummins are made by third party compaines not owned by Ford or Dodge. Same goes for the Dmax. They are exclusive to each brand but I believe this statement would better reflect if the items being compared were made by each respective company i.e, 5.7 Hemi vs Fords modular 4.6/5.4
Just saying, if we all wanna nit-pick
for the record, I'd take a 351w/c (sorry Dylan not the M) over a 360 anyday
Brett make sure you get the extended warranty ........
Part of the deal was a 100,000 mile powertrain warranty. They also gave me insurance on the wheels and tires on the truck for 72 months. If I have a blow-out or run over a nail then the tire is replaced free of charge as amny times as it happens in the 72 months. Also if it damages the rim they replace that as well. It also covers aftermarket wheels and tires up to 35"

Oh yeah now were talking.. were getting somewhere now.. 302/351c/w ooh man.. 360 is trash compared it.. 350 is another trash motor too.. compare them..
SBF (289/302) Significantly lighter and physically smaller than the SBC.
SBF Thrust plated cam position. SBC cam floats, only held in place by the timing chain (hence the famous timing cover "button").
SBF fuel pump mounted on front cover. SBC fuel pump activated by funky rod in the block.
SBF easy access, front distributor. SBC hard access, rear distributor. Technically better to drive distributor/oil pump from same position where cam itself is driven (the front).
SBF symetrical intake/exhaust ports. SBC early fifties-type siamesed intake and exhaust ports.
Interchangeability:
Some say SBC has better "interchangeability", but SBFs offer more variety. Aluminum or cast iron bellhousings (small and large 289/351W/351C/5.0s), in-line or canted valve heads (289/351W/351C/5.0s can interchange), Cranks from a 400s can fit a 351Ws, cranks from a 351Cs can be made to fit 289/302s, front covers interchange between 289/351W/5.0s). How many parts interchange between SBC 350s and 348s/409s?
Other issues:
The SBF is the ONLY modern production V-8 to ever win the 24 hrs of Lemans outright. The Ford Indy engine is the ONLY modern production-based V-8 engine to win the Indy 500.
The current SBF based NASCAR engine is the only V8 in NASCAR that still has its roots directly traceable to a production engine. Chevy and Chrysler both abandoned their small block engine designs with new, pure racing designs. So, in that sense, the SBF has proven to be the longest lasting design.
The completely new chevy LS1/6 engine appears to be more a deritive of a Ford engine than the traditional SBC....Symetrical ports, 10 bolt head/block/Y-block design/cross bolted mains.
I agree that the SBFs are leaps and bounds better then the SBC, thats why I hate that all the auto places keep SBC aftermarket stuff in stock when I have to order my SBF stuff.
