Best part is that my trans started shifting again! Dang MLPS sensor was holding me back. I still plan on a rebuild tho in the spring, but nice to know I can drive again.

Now I just need to get this turn signal issue fixed. Its driving me crazy.

It is the front right side. The bulb is new and I had to replace the socket, but could only find a universal socket for that bulb type. Heres the problem.

The running light (low beam) works fine, hit the turn signal...nothing, but then hit the hazards, and it flashes...except it flashes opposite of the rest of the truck. I've tried flipping the bulb around (3157)

All other lights on the truck work fine. If I turn the headlights on the right turn signal arrow lights up tho...

Its prolly something real simple, but I was getting frustrated so I stopped for awhile with it.

Your Advance one will probably be okay.. i ended up with a BWD from OReilleys (advance sells BWD I think?) and its lasting. Went through like 4 or 5 Duralasts.. funny thing is, the BWD is fricken IDENTICAL to the Duralast, I even weighed them down to the gram, they were exact. I honestly think they were made in the same exact plant and I just got lucky on No5.

Glad to read that you made progress. Newbie question, what does MLPS stand for? I am guessing the last two letters are for position sensor, but what are the front two?

Kool, thanks, I have seen that bandied about everywhere on this site, and even the FSB site, but never found a explanation.

Yeah the one I got is made by BWD. Maybe duralast adds rocks to theirs so it feels like a quality part.

Good to hear you got it fixed, I too am having blinker issues but i just need to replace my front left socket. the wire for the actually blinker goes into the side of the socket i have and it wiggles inside it so it will lose connection. I have a socket behind my front seats i just need some butt-connectors and the will to get off my butt and go do it.

Ya i've been meaning to get to that, maybe tomorrow when i go to walmart to get butt connectors and some headlight grease i can see if they carry it. So Encho where is the reservoir for the fluid supposed to go? I know when i grease my headlights i have to cut the glass open with my butterknife and lube the lightbulb then reseal the glass with teflon tape, but i have never had to do blinker fluid -_-

Don't forget you have to use the left handed monkey wrench on that, or it will not work correctly.

Blinker fluid...I love it.

Ya haha, I want to see if i can get this guy to do it. He is a friend of one of my friends and doesn't know a damned thing about his car. If i could get him to go to the local auto parts store and ask.... I might have to record it or something
