Well Im working on the Zebra today. I just need to get the turn signal working so I can get it inspected.

I got a different socket from a buddy who works a junkyard. Its a taillight socket from a Ford truck, but it should still work.

I got the hazards to work, but still don't have the turn signal.

Not sure. I ran into this before. I ended up checking all the way back to the switch and the wire was good. If hazards work then the wires are good at least from the relays right?

I will check from switch to the relays here shortly.

Got the rear sway bar installed and hooked up today!

I have an appointment with my local shop to take a look at the turn signal and hopefully get an inspection. They've always treated me well before so I shouldn't get too big of a shock with their labor. I hate to give up, but I need this fixed ASAP so I can really drive the truck.

Also, I got a new can of Deep Creep and soaked the rear shock bolts. I may get new rear shocks if the price is right.

I know the rear axle is a mess too, I plan to have it fully rebuilt with a locker come spring, maybe even regear both axles if I can talk them into a good deal.

I think that he's doing a great job...Taking his sweet time, making sure things are up to specs......THAT, makes for a great build vehicle, when "Finished"

Hey, don't waste money.. if you do shocks, save for Bilsteins and just do it right on the first go. I like my KYBs but they're more for hardcore towing, the front Bilsteins I have are exactly right for my Bronco.

and I think turn signals have different relays than the hazards. It's probably just the flasher relay. One of the part's stores has this yellow one that is extra loud and suppose to be long life, it's overpriced ($13) but sorta worth it.

Be sure to check your gas tank straps! They'll break on you. They're also tough to loosen once rusted.. start soaking every, single nut and bolt you can find in the rear in PB! You'll definitely appreciate that you did. Seafoam deep creep is nice, especially for bushings, but PB will saturate the rust and actually be absorbed, then soften it nicely.
Before you know it, even the apparently rusted solid nuts and bolts will suddenly break free like nothing. I did this with my body mounts, which look worse than your undercarriage and it only took 20 ftlbs to break them free to tighten them more. Just keep them wet looking until you're ready to paint or break some of the nuts free.

Also noticed PB soaked into my rubber body mounts and softened them up. They dry out, but poof up a little more with every application.. might be something worth trying, I'd bet your body mounts look pretty bad right now and you will eventually want to change them (they're a POS from what I've read, haven't done mine yet)

Since I'm looking at it, dude, pull your driveshaft and check your pinion nut. With that leak I bet the thing is free spinning inside your yolk. I've not run into a single 8.8 yet without a loose pinion nut.

def dont let anyone discourage you over that rust, seriously, the only parts that rust will bother will be your under body and your gas tank, MAYBE your ubolts, every other part in the rear? it's just cosmetic

and people are lying, you never, ever ever finish. There is always some part you lust over, or some modification you're just waiting to finish.

Really wish I had done a build thread, this thread has been a lot of fun!

I am only in the beginning stage of mine, there is plenty left to do, money happens to be the biggest stopper. I think once brett gets the underbody all CARCed out it will look really good.

Thanks guys!!

The shop said that my turn signal switch itself is bad. They also said one of my wheel bearings felt loose . They are gonna fix everything and inspect it for me. Well see what the damage comes to.
