Not to mention that the screwed in VIN plate says the Color is RED, while the truck itself doesn't appear to have any old traces of red in the door jamb or under the layers of chipped paint. Does the truck still have the two speed rear end?

Thanks for the clarification on the color Bill.

Curious, what does "RED" mean?

It means someone stamped the wrong color on the plate.
Look up the date, see if the truck was assembled on a Monday or Friday.

F15 = F150 2WD Pickup / J = 460 4V / K = Kansas City MO Assembly Plant / W01271 = 1975.

This is the LARGE TRUCK forum, for 500 series and larger trucks.

Since your truck is a 1975 F150, please ask further questions in the 1973/79 F100 and larger truck forum.

Numbers, I have a somewhat difficult question. I bought the front end out of a 93 F700 cheap with the same 6 bolt pattern. The axle is too wide to just put under my 67 F600. The caliper mounting brackets do bolt on to the spindle. The spindle stub on the 700 is longer and larger than my 600 and the hub won't fit. Question: is there an earlier F600 that has disc brakes that has the same spindle dimensions or close to my F600?

C700 - a problem title

What is the best way to confirm the year of a c700? I have the original bill of sale, and know it is a 1967. The problem is I have a PA title from 1995 that in fact does not state the year of the vehicle. Just the warranty number and the GVWR. For some reason the good people at PennDot left that out.

When trying to apply for a title in Maryland, MVA said I need to get a corrected title from PA. Holy government run around. Maryland did seem amenable to some other kind of proof of year, so I was planning on trying again with the bill of sale, and any other information I can glean from the 11 digit warranty number that consul sly demonstrates that it's a 1967. I plan to get the 1967 shop manuals, and see what I can get from the production number series. But what I'm starting to think is even better would be the parts catalog.

Thoughts?

Below is my door tag.

D = 330 2V Heavy Duty FT engine.

U = Louisville KY Assembly Plant.

A72775 = 1967, assembled January 1967.

1967 serial number range (except E100): A00,001-B82,000.
