OLD DECODES
391 HP/TQ. Still pathetic, but better than the 330. Post 7 has some HP/TQ ratings:

It is NOT possible to run a PTO off a C6. There is no provision for a PTO port on that transmission. Allison automatics can be equipped with a PTO. Not sure about any other auto trans.
An F250 runs about 6000 lbs probably, maxing out somewhere below 10k. The F600 starts about 10,000 for a cab and chassis, and the GVWR for yours is 20,000.
Later F600s with the 370/429 would be a source for mounts and possibly other parts to aid the swap. The Lima 429 differs from the car 429 enough to make engine parts non-interchangable, so accessory drives, if any, have to be brought over.
Your '70 429 is going to be in the 11s for compression. High loads and high compression for long periods is not advisable.
Good luck with it.
These two websites list dozens of obsolete parts vendors. PartsVoice also lists 100's of FoMoCo dealers. You have to register on PartsVoice, it's free. rearcounter, just sign on and type away.
Type the part numbers without any spaces or hyphens, like this: B9C7277A
Northwoods WI .. Would this be Door County by any chance?
Bill can you get me the part numbers please. Local parts house is having hell finding them for me.

I've been doing this jazz on FTE since 11/04/2006. And, btw: One of the parts locator sites is only accessible to FoMoCo Dealers.
You've been able to answer some pretty tough ones. I hope this is simple. The short version is this: is the 706528 spindle interchangeable with 706528x?
The long version is this: My 1970 F100 Ranger started life as a 2WD 3 or 4-speed, likely with a 390FE. When I got it, somebody had changed out, well, pretty much everything except the body: built 302, C4 with a B&M kit, Dana-Spicer 24 1-ton transfer case, Dana 44 front axle and GM disc brake conversion (among a host of other mods). I recently needed to replace the bearings and decided new rotors & pads would be a good idea. A friend helped and we got it all swapped out, but within about 15 miles of driving, things got weird and I found that the front right spindle had sheared off near the mounting flange. Because none of this front drive train is original, I'm open to any input on what to do. I'm fairly certain the spindle I took off is part #706528, based on the journal measurements. I can provide a picture of the broken one, if that would help.
