Keith? What are ya doing? Get yer butt off the computer, get out to the shop and get to work. Unless ya got a puter in the shop than just disregard this.
Rails go on Monday morning. I had an interesting call on duty at the airport. 2 workers on a scaffold fell 30 feet. Luckily no passengers were below otherwise it wouldn't of been pretty. There is some video of me and my guys loading a patient on to our Air Rescue. Here is the link:
Only got one rail mounted today. The other side I need to get a 1/2 " heiliarc because the hole in two of the mounts are too big. The rails looks great!!
We got the Mars lights mounted too.
I need to crank her up. When I moved her last time she was blowing white smoke which might be from brake fluid coming from my malfunctioning booster. When I went to pull the booster to have it rebuilt again, fluid started pouring out my brake vent line so maybe some fluid was being pulled into the engine. I have that disconnected now and will probably be putting a 12v vacuum motor somewhere on the frame, eliminating using motor vacuum. This same issue happened to Chuck of Chucks Trucks so this was his solution to prevent it happening again and ruining my motor. So I am going to change the oil and filter and start her up.
Ya Keith. I don't think brake fluid is very good on an engine. I ran my ranger with a blown vacuum modulator and sucked ATF into the engine for around 300 miles. It sure cleaned up the combustion chambers but did more good than harm. Not the case with brake fluid I think. The Flat motor was not known for very good vacuum so a vacuum pump is a good thing.
