Yes a retirement fund for Arctic. That way instead of a rest home he can live out his days aboard a Cruise Ship. Just like ND Bill only permanent.

I KNOW! Let's have a benefit! There's that old abandoned theater on the edge of town, we could clean it up, and we can sing and dance and Tommy can do magic tricks, and Billy's dog can balance a ball on his nose while walking on his back legs! We'll put up posters all over town and sell tickets. We'll make plenty enough money to pay off those rails and...

OOPs, I saw that in a movie once...

I got an estimate from Space Coast this morning ... $350 a rail with a 4-6 weeks turn around time. I think that is a great price. I plan on bringing the rails back to my fabricator tomorrow morning to see if i can get them to repair them.

Wow I just noticed this thread has over 12 thousand views. I never thought my little project would be viewed by so many!!

Ilya, I hope to have the floor done this week so I may have some new photos to post. Here are some pics of my rails that I sent out to a few plating companies. The rails are 11 feet long!! It looks like the least expensive way is to have the originals fixed and replated.

Picked up my parts from the chrome shop this morning. Everything looks good.
My boys were excited (me too)!!The door handles were nickle plated. Not a lot of chrome on the truck.

Here are some pics:

The plating shop said their tanks are 9' x 4' deep. My rails start to bend at 8.5 ft so they might fit. The owner said to bring them by and he will put them in his tanks otherwise they will be going to space coast plating 3.5 hours north of me.
