So I got the high lift jack hard mounted with a secure quick disconnect. Got some other stuff done.
Going to move the flood lights on the w/s frame and put them on the grill were the park light are now. And just put in mini LED park lights along with mini led side marker lights.
Fire ext is hard mounted and secure with 2 qd straps. I now have a lone body mount size difference issues to work out.
Thinking abut making a receiver hitch fold down step plate to stand on to work under the hood.
Headlights all done. Ok so I removed the smaller hood glare producing LED's floods off the w/s frame and put them in the park light spot on the grill and added some mini LED park lights. Put round LED's for front side marker lights.
Put some bigger spot beam LED on the w/s frame. Added a cube 4 LED back up light on the roll bar.
More tie down rings in the back of the bed area added. And then buffed that faded ol thing back to RED.
Purdy!
When we took Molly'n Dolly to the fair we'd put bells on the collar, polish the hames, tie ribbons on the harness, etc. I think the girls knew where they were goin cuz they'd prance hooves a lill higher. Didn't pull more weight than at home tho.
Y not do the same to our bronks?!? No tq/HP increase but there's a special feeling when things look nicer...
I still can not figure out why the PO cut the grill pieces out. It is to hot to dig in my scrap pile to locate some patch pieces, let alone fire up the welder.
could the lower 1 B frm an "in vehicle" cam replacement/upgrade...between the "R" & "D"?
Not sure where that'd end up on a bent8.
B a lill more centered 4 an i6.
Well just back from a fun filled weekend at SMORR. Bronco wheeled like a champ, but the carb made it run like crap when going down some very long, very steep hills. Up hill it was ok after we tuned it a bit more....propane or FI is next before I go back there.
When it stalled coming down a level 5 trail, it made for an interesting time to say the least.
The up hill pic of "Punker Up 5", does it no justice to how steep it really is.
No need for the Hillbilly Bug, but if the red Bronco had broke hard, I would of hauled it back home and trailered the HB back down there and kept on wheeling.
That Pucker Up 5 I estimated it is a 60 to 70 % grade.....I went down a level 4 trail (in full on dead mode) when the Bronco died 1/4 way down due to a carb issue that I battled all weekend.
That's why I ditched my carb. It sucked on inclines. I was climbing a sand dune and didn't make it over the top, engine died, couldn't restart with my nose pointing in the air, and couldn't just roll backwards because I had buried the tires. I had to have a friend tow me backwards to level ground. That was enough for me! Went with the Mustang EFI and have never looked back.
I did a few web learned tricks to the Edelbrock 4 bbl and got the up hill/inclines working great it, is the steep down hills that has me loading up and stalling out. Back on level ground it will start right back up.
I have heard you can put a sponge in the carb (location?) to help with down hills? I have all the stuff to go propane, just need to make time.
