With that much electrolysis damage to the cover there is probably more throughout the engine, possibly in the cylinders

I would bet it's the factory front cover and it was a motorcraft water pump.

WOW is right...I haven't heard much of these water pumps going bad. I guess staying on top of your maintenance will prevent this

WOW is RIGHT!!! Marty do you think all this is a result of coolant neglect? Just wondering from the flange clamp on upside down if somebody knew & just patched or rigged this truck just to move it, I think X said he just bought it in March/April. I don't believe I'd buy a pair of socks let alone a truck from that outfit, just from what is seen so far.

Headed out to get the front cover. Be back in about 5 hours. Going to throw the front cover back on with a new water pump and recheck pressure test.

Crossing my fingers for you guys!

In my saltwater fishing boats we have what's called a "ZINC" sacrificial anode that we screw into the coolant passage in heat exchangers. Does anyone think sacrificial anodes would be helpful in our powerstrokes?

The place I bought it from is so shady . I've been reading reviews on them and they all say the same thing . "I broke down" . Service was terrible . It's a Ford Dealership which is the sad part .
