Drained oil, punched hole in filter everything going great not one drop of oil spilled. Put new filt & oil moved drain pan back to ccv catch can drain that & clean everything up. Go to back up from front of barn & crunch the dam drain pan, few qts of black oil on blacktop. Didn't spill a drop doing the OC but sure made a doggone mess

Well this Thread has finally come to an end

The truck is back on the road and I just drove it 85 miles back home . Marty put about 350 miles on it before he gave it back to me. My son drove me down today,we drove it around town and then I drove it home
The truck drove and ran like new .
I'd like to Thank EVERYONE who chimed in and helped me with this problem.
The basic problem was front cover failure from cavitation behind the water pump
Also we think maybe the front cover was repaired and when the repair failed, it rattled around in the water pump until it broke through and coolant went into the oil

I'd also like to Thank CJ for introducing me to Marty.I'm not sure where I would be if he had not chimed in

Last but not least I'd like to Thank Marty (The Man) @

Trucks running great .Just about 2000 miles on it since it was put back on the road. Ran down to Marty's at 1000 miles and changed the oil and flushed the cooling system. Just as a final check. The oil was golden brown. Clean engine
Gonna head back down in 3000 miles and get new head lights put in it ,trani service, oil change ,shocks and hub services. I'm getting just over 18MPG on the highway at 2000rpms and about 72mph

Funny guy !
As you know truck is running very well .
In case anyone is interested. Truck has 7700 miles on it since Marty pulled the motor. We recently did an oil change, 5w40 synthetic, trani service with filter, transfer case service ,front and back hub service and changed out the head lights to 03's with Silverstar bulbs in both head lights and fogs.
I was running Rotella 15w40 and had lots of starting issues in the cold. I'm in areas that the morning temps were ranging from -5 thru 10 degrees. The 5w40 has made a definite improvement ! Marty also checked the truck with his computer. Fuel pressure, temps, boost etc. Maybe he can post that ?
I may be able to start putting on the odds and ends I never got a chance to do. My son bought me rain guards and I'd like to get the windows tinted . All that good stuff .
Good to see you again at Marty's shop CJ
