Welcome to FTE

F354CB04153

The 4th digit of the VIN (engine code) is a letter, not a number. This F350 is not a 1965.

This is the wrong forum to post this info, as it's only for 1961/63 F100/250 Uni's. I asked a moderator to move it to the 1967/72 forum, since the truck is a 1967.

F35 = F350.

4 = ? // 1966/67 F100/350: A = 240 1V I-6 / B = 300 1V I-6 / Y = 352 2V

C = Oakville Ontario Canada Truck Assembly Plant.

B04153 = 1967, assembled March 1967.

F10= f100 2wd
J= 223CID, 1V carb, 6Cylinder
K= Kansas City Assembly plant
376230= Assembly date of Jan 63

So your truck is a 1963 Ford F100

Was it a manual truck or Automatic?

What color was the truck, if it's been repainted check in the engine area, or behind the seat for correct color. If the shifter was on the floor could either be a three on the floor or 4 speed. If on the column it would be a three on the tree. How many pedals do you have? Your Warranty tag should have been on the glove box door. Mine was removed but was in the glove box. Do you have a 6ft or 8ft bed?

it was a 3 speed on the tree, im working on getting it all torn down, right now, fightin rusted bolts, and all the goodies that go with workin on these old trucks!i bought it from a lady, whose hubby had owned it, but she couldnt find the title for it, so i been workin on findin that VIN, and we finally got it tonight! im gonna put a built 460 in it, with a stout c-6, and im gonna hafta find me a newer rearend, so it wont be offset, and ALOT heavier than whats in it! just an old project truck im building with my wife and 8 year old son. I sure appreciate your fast reply, im also tryin to see ifn i can find some type of rack and pinion setup, so i can keep the original fram, and i also want to find a kit(if possible) to make it front disc brakes! havent done any of these old trucks before, ive always built the 67 and up ford trucks so this is a new one for me! thanks again, and God Bless!

heya rob, yeah its blue, like that baby blue that ford had out there for awhile, it appears to be original paint, as when we took off the front fenders, and inner fenderwells, it was the same, all jambs are the same, interior is all the same, too, ill hafta go back out to the shop in the mornin, and get all my warranty tag info offn the door, again, lol i had it wrote down, but you know how THAT goes! its the 6 foot bed, and it has a lil rust imma hafta deal with, but overall its a pretty good starting point, for the amount of money ill have budgeted in! im handicapped, so i hafta buy parts, and pieces as i can swing em! ifn i can find a good rack and pinion system so i can have power steering, id really like to keep the original frame, and just drop a few of the leafs out of the springs, i dont want it "in the weeds" that just ruins a truck to me, but i DO want it just a lil lower. im gonna hafta either find a rack system, a disc brake system, i can convert it over to, AND a setup for my motor mounts, or ill hafta try to talk my brother into custom building them for me, but hes always busy so im mostly on my own here! i will ALWAYS listen to advice from guys that have done builds on these trucks, as i havent done one this old yet, BUT, i DO want to try and keep it as much ford as i can!

Don't feel sad about money, it will come when it comes. I've had my truck for going on two years and still haven't got it licensed for the road. I need to buy tires, do some more work on the engine and variuos other things. Whats your first name and where are you located?

The light blue was called Baffin Blue, paint code F. Is the whole truck the same color or do you have two tone, white and Blue? If it two tone it would be FM, M is corinthian white.

nice ole truck! btw my name is donny and i live in ellis kansas. gotta question for ya though, why an olds motor? was it easier to put in? kind of a neat old engine, ive built alot of olds cars over the years lol, and yeah, im not really in a major hurry to drive this truck, i also have an 85 f250 4wd that a guy sold me for 600 bucks because he said the engine was no good, but thanks to some smart fellers on FTE i flushed it out with a lil diesel fuel in the oil, a coupla times, and she carries 65 lbs of oil pressure, and runs like a scalded dog! this truck im wantin to try to get just right, and teach my son a dying art at the same time, too many kids nowadays know NOTHING about quality vehicles! between the money situation, and wanting it done RIGHT, you know the same as i do ya just caint rush it! my 63 had white wagon spokes on it when i got it , but a buddy of mine had a nice set of factory f150 wheels so i got em from him for 100 bucks, and they look so much better on it! we are gonna go pretty radical custom, im thinkin bout cuttin the top off, and makin her a convertible, lowerin her down just a lil bit, not too much, but thats a ways down the road, first things first, i wanna get her up and runnin and the body work done, then after i put some miles on her, ill tear her apart again, lol ill have my house paid off in a few more years, then it'll free up alot more money for my toys!

Hey Donny, the Olds 330 came with the truck, the previos owner may have a had a camper or tow trailer. The factory 292 wasn't giving him enough power. The Olds is a high comression engine and was rated for 320HP. It runs but had a big problem on one cylinder. I have fixed it but the valve train was made non-adjustable so I need to get a set of adjustable push rods to take out the tick from the excessive lash.

Kansas, My family lived in Burr Oak in the 1880's before moving over to Oregon. Sweet deal on the F250.

i have a 390, with a c-6 tranny here, ifn ya ever decide to change it over to a ford engine again, its just sittin in my shop, takin up space, lol it needs a new distributor, but thats it! it runs real nice, and it has a 2 bbl on it! the guys i got it from screwed up the plugin end comin out of the dist. i even have all the brackets, a/c compressor, powersteering brackets, the works for it, i just bought a used starter and alt. for it the other day so id have a COMPLETE engine! i have the factory air breather too! i think i even have the original brain box still too, id hafta look. id love to find someone i could trade it to, for a new drivers door, and fenders, and i also need a hood, because the guys i paid to haul my truck home for me, warped the hood i have now, tying down the truck, without laying the hood down in the back of the truck!

I picked up a 292 with manual three for $100.00 back last year. It's in pieces right now until I get enough cash yto buy whats missing. My goal is to replace the Olds 330 when it goes out. But now that you say that Hmmm, might have to think about it.
