I discovered this forum early this morning and have been excitedly reading and learning more about my '61 Unibody. I need to finish my garage with better information and will do so soon.
Using the information in this feed(?) I have decoded my VIN but have only partially figured out all the information on the plate on the inside of the glove compartment door, it gives the Model as F10C and have not seen anything about what this might mean, I also don't know what the 6 trailing numbers of the VIN mean (*****110594), any info would be greatly appreciated.
My VIN info:
F10CD110594
I believe the code translates as follows?
F10 = F100 2 wheel drive
C = 292 2
D = Dallas
and the 6 numbers that follow, I've no clue.
The plate on the glovebox door reads as follows:
Wheel base = 114
Color DM = D Indian Turquoise M Wimbledon or Corinthian White
I read Wimbledon White was no available until later?
Model F10C = I do not know what this means.
Trans A = Ford type 3.03 3 speed manual all synchromesh
Most of the information above no longer means a whole lot, other than satisfying my curiosity, because the pick-up's drive train has recently been replaced from the radiator to the rear end, but I'd sure like to know anyway. I couldn't afford an old 30's 3 window coupe, so I ended up with this beautiful old pick-up that my bank account will only let me slowly finish, but part's are readily available and I will have a blast playing with it.
Thanks, now I believe I will spend another few hours looking at everyone else's picture's od their pick-ups....
