Yep, hearing this thing run made me do bad things to my undershorts.. it honestly sounded like it was out to kill gobs of rams with a vengence. it was so awesome!!!! Oh yeah and the turbo sounds orgasmically sweet.
Cody,
Are you keeping the batteries in the original location up front?
I have an issue starting my drag truck with the batts in back, can't get enough voltage to start, so I have to keep the batts fully topped off with a charger or it won't start. Cranks over beautifully, but won't charge the IDM or something.
Just a thought...
CAN'T WAIT to see a video more importantly, to HEAR the video. Your right Cody very nice work on the intake spider!!! I rescind my spurious comments concerning any similarity to a brass musical instrument. It is a thing of beauty. I imagine the music it makes will soothe the heart of the entire DEATH ROW DIESEL team. Congratulations on hitting your deadline!
One nice thing after you run it a couple times you've got the time to retorque those heads down tight. I would not be surprised if that turbo could make boost pressures in triple digits.
I said it before. That thing looks INSANE.
INCREDIBLE!
Hey Cody, Sorry to hear the pull was cancelled but im glad to hear you guys finished it up and i must say that thing looks AMAZING! I'm thoroughly impressed. I can't wait to hear it running also. maybe see some smoke out that hood stack. haha
I promise I'll get video so you guys can hear it. It will be a good possibility tonight. I'm gonna spend the day with the family, and clean the shop. I've NEVER seen my shop look like it does.
But I need to cut the hood for the intake pipe, that way I can actually run the truck instead of just idle it. Keep the faith, believe me, I NEED, to hear this thing run again, so we'll have the video camera on the spot. Even if we can just get a few seconds, it will be worth it.
Jim, I'm keeping the batts in their place under the hood. But they are old batteries. So I'm not gonna try to convince myself that the batts don't suck.
Way to go Cody!! Glad to see that you got the truck up and running, is it the headers that is making the godly difference in sound or is it in the tuning do you think? Now we just need to see this beast run down the track and kick some **** haha.
Hey Cody , if those are the same batteries you got with the truck they are old and need replaced. The cold winters here are hard on batteries anyway. The truck looks AWSOME !! cant wait to see some video.
Kevin, yes, they are the same ones. I know they need replacing. But they will hold a charge long enough to crank it. I'll replace them soon.
Richard, I'm not sure what's causing the awsome sound. LOL Headers, turbo, tuning, injectors, 5" straight off the turbo to 8" stack..... could be a number of things. All I know is it's bad azz.
Kevin, so how do you like the looks of it? I think it came out awsome!
