Hang tough Bill. Sometimes tough love works well. You know all the old sayings like "time apart makes the heart grow fonder" and so on. Give her something to think about. Maybe if she knows you're not going to just come running every time she calls, she may re-evaluate her position on things.
On the other hand, a clean fresh start may be just the thing for you. Sounds like you need a pick-me-up. Get out and enjoy some time with friends and / or family, start a new hobby, etc.
Only other piece of advice I'd offer is that if you break things off for good, be careful and beware of the "rebound" relationship thing. Don't be too quick to rush out and start dating again. Give yourself some time to sort things out and recover from this. When you do start to date again, look for someone that will treat you as a partner and an equal instead demeaning you and treating you like an animal or a child. Take a measure of your self worth and know that you deserve better than you have been receiving my friend.

Now it's time to get out and enjoy yourself Bill! Get out and do some of the things you couldn't do when you were tied down. Enjoy life my friend. It's far to short to dwell on things like this. Start a new chapter in your own story now and make everything a success from here on out. You can do it....we've got faith in you!

I actually feel better now that it's really over. I feel like I can enjoy this Christmas with my family (there's been a lot of conflict between me and my mom over this girl).
It still hurts but I actually feel Okay. I must have argued with her for an hour tonight. She's nuts. I'm not even joking. This girl has a real phycological issue.
