I agree with you to a certain degree. I don't think most people on here want a mindless woman with no opinion, but I do think that a lot of us have spoke from past situations related to the subject, I know I have. I would hope that everyone here is looking for a partner who is 50% of the relationship... not looking to have one sole person have all the control. I know that's not what I want. I'm all for finding an even playing field. I think once I have found that I'd be content with the person who I was with. JMO.

So happy to hear you were able to move forward with life and find some happiness.

Bill if these mutual "friends" feel its necessary to keep you updated about her its simple. tell them I have moved on and have no interest, if you can't do the same, you will be gone too. its like Paul talks about the Christian life being like a race. "putting aside all encumbrances", any thing that might hold you back. if they want to keep dragging her up in conversation after you tell them, dump them. as far as returning calls thats all very well an all to be polite, but no law saws you have to call back ASAP, its still returning the call if you call in 20 years or so.

Congratulations!

I hope you are supportive towards the new girl as much as she is to you. Also, I hope you two bring out the best in each other.

I have not read all the posts, but wanted to add my 2 cents. You can't fix women or change them. They are what they are, and I have no idea what makes them tick.

My answer is a motorcycle. That I can fix or change as I want. I put a blow up doll on the back and off I go. If I don't like the blow up doll one day I let the air out and put it away. It never costs me money and never complains. In fact it never opens it's mouth. The only problem it gets is a leak and a tire patch fixes it.

You should hang out at the "mute" school to look for a new girlfriend. Nobody talks there. They use sign language. And if you don't like what they are telling you then you can just shut your eyes.

Unless this girl is really rich and you have access to the money I would bail out. It is only going to get worse.

Good luck with it.

On edit; From reading the last posts you already fixed it. Good for you.

Aside from her being an overall awesome girl, well, let's just say her families' pockets jingle as they walk....
