There have been two V10/CV swaps that I know of. One was a twin turbo in a 95-97 running low 11s and the other was a '99 with an NA PI V10.

That's very true, I didn't even stop to think about that. Putting so much tongue weight on the back that the front is lifted is ... irresponsible?

But when we do stop, it's not only at any station that sells 87 octane, we don't need to find another bottle of fuel additive to throw in.
I recently started commuting to work, a 50 mile round-trip, and I get only 10MPGs doing it. Mostly stop-and-go.
While I MIGHT be able to get 15 if I had a diesel, under the same circumstances, I have done NOTHING to maintain my engine in the past 10 years except for one spark plug change. I might be able to do with that a 7.3, but hardly possible with a 6.0.
I am fully aware of the advantages of said diesel, but having driven them for a living, I fail to see any real-world difference except for some extra MPGs.
