Thats great JD. But I think I remember someone with 0 post that became a SUPPORTER. Not sure, but I think we will give your wife the boner untill we know different.
What in the world are we talking about today? I got lost somewhere in cyberspace and this pops up???????
Go ahead and ask me if I am bored stiff. Plus those effin Bills came up with a new way to lose a game today.
My Jeep also has a leaking valve cover gasket that fooled me for a bit, with oil on the plugs threads. Made me think the plugs weren't sealing properly, but was just oil coming from the outside.
Looking like it will be freezing precipitation the whole time as well. I hope the road crews in IA are pretty good.
I suppose our situation could be oil coming in from the outside, but I dont recall seeing anything seeping down onto the valve covers.
Right now it is sleeting freezing rain. It dropped 30 degrees in about 1 hour. Jeremy in my limited experience here, I-80 doesn't get too bad, and they take pretty good care of the highway, the MAIN problem is all the dumb drivers you run into. Unfortunately I-80 gets a lot of people driving across country, people who have zero experience driving in slick conditions. Lots of "panic breaking" and people following too closely. Just watch the other drivers closely and you'll be okay.

Well the #7 and 8 we pulled were fouled, and those were the ones that had oil on them.

It runs good now. We took it out this afternoon to do a tiny bit of shopping. It still sounds a bit off to me at idle and acceleration, but I might be analyzing it to heavily.
If you do not get at least an extended cab and a long bed, you're not going to be very happy much longer than a month.
Why would I be unhappy with a regular cab longbed? It's not like I have kids to cart around. The truck is soing to spend the majority of its time towing a trailer or hauling stuff around in the bed. A truck doing what a truck was intended for!
Stuff means leaf blowers and chainsaws. I think I'm gonna go start a thread in the 7.3L area about a truck so I don't have to try to find things in the O/T thread. It's getting too on-topic lately.
I guess I was shoving my preference down your throat, for which I apologize. It has probably been 35 years since I've owned a regular cab, and they just look so cramped and uncomfortable to me.
I can see where an extended cab would be nice to have, but as I said I'm going to be pulling a trailer on a regular basis so the shorter I can keep the truck the shorter my overall length is.
I'm bidding on a cemetery mowing contract that is somewhere around 20k a year so I'll be pulling a trailer with a Wright Stander RH 52" and a set of STIHL trimmers.
WTF is up with the weather the last 24 hours? Ok you guys wanna hear something really messed up? It was like, oh Id say 30 degrees yesterday, sunny. When I went to bed last night, there was snow on the ground, just like it has been since it snowed the first time. Woke up this morning and all of the snow melted overnight. And the back porch thermometer says its 40 degrees outside....Snowing in AZ, and snow is melting OVERNIGHT here...
today was insane.. hit low 50's early this morning here, the winds come up and fallen ever since with a bit of rain.....supposed to be below 20 in the morning I think. It was a nice morning to move some stuff around outside.
it was a beautiful sunny 50º day here in jersey..
tomorrow they are calling for temps in the mid 60's.
the bad news is they are also calling for rain all week.
Hey everyone. Haven't had much time to see what's going on here or check in. Spent some time at the hospital today. Cody and Hunter are doing good but they are keeping them both until tomorrow. Cody's labor was pretty intense and they want her to stay. They are also doing some tests on Hunter. All is ok, just standard tests that they run.
We also went and cut a Christmas tree today. Cody's biggest worry after Hunter was born, was that we wouldn't have a tree for Christmas. Dad took care of it. It's waiting in the living room for her to come home and decorate.
Getting ready to make some of my Outlaw's Shanghai Shrimp Surprise for dinner.
Here are a couple of pics from this morning. I will get some up of Hunter's face once I have them. They are on another camera that I don't have on me at the moment.
Thanks Brent. I will be careful no matter what happens. Whether I end up going or staying home, I'm going to be in icy or snowy conditions one way or another.
don't worry jeremy,,, the iowa road crews are the best in the state.. in reality they generally do a good job... but during the storm is always touch and go. They'll hit the high traffic/ problem areas first and through the storm.
Temp here has dropped 20 degrees in the last half hour, from 60 down to about 40, and it's pouring rain. Weather forecast is improving though. Doesn't look like it's supposed to get icy and snowy much at all and clear tomorrow, but just cold. That's for here though.
Rock Valley is currently -2 degrees, wind chill of -27 with a 40% chance of snow tomorrow. High tomorrow there is -3 with wind chills of -35 to -40. I'm so excited about the cold.
Good to hear that the IA road crews are good at keeping the main roads clear. My driving will be all on I-70 west to KC, then I-29 North to Rock Valley. We should be fine.
Scott, glad to hear the kids and grand baby are doing well. I'm sure she'll appreciate you getting her a tree too.
You know beating someone with a shoe is one of the ultimate ways the Muslims have of showing disrespect to another human being. Remember what those goofballs did to Sadaams statue?
Some vehicles have bushings, some bearings and some can be changed from one to the other
There are a few ways to remove them one is with a puller made for the occasion, another is to pack the cavity with grease and take something same size as pilot and drive into the bushing and it will normally pop out.Yet another is to run a tap through the bushing and push it out
Did the tap trick on 8and9000 fords worked weather it was a cat, cummins,or ford eng.

I'll have you know youngin that yesterday I had 18ft. of trailer loaded with wood,a pole saw and chain saw, axes ,malls and wedges in the bed,and my two oldest grils in the back and two friends that helped me.
So my CC works like a truck is intended for.
Just busten your chops,LOL.For your job the reg.cab would be the way to go.
