Pete I know what you mean about work ethic nowadays. For a week and a half in mid August I bust my azz working on the county fairground's grounds crew, all for about $450. I couldn't stand working for Mcdonalds I'd rather pick rocks for farmers.
It got a little ugly for a while there Travis, but they pulled it out.
EDIT: Lisa --> I know something will come up for you. Keep after it, and it'll fall in place. After I got laid off, I took all these military deployments to cover my @$$, and in the mean time, I got the Samsung gig. BTW, we're hiring -- need a couple more folks. Anybody know someone in the DFW area looking for work???
Its usually good to pull it out when it gets ugly...
If I can't find a good job, I'll get a *****ty job, and go talk to the universities and colleges and see what I can't do to enroll myself into a certificate program. I won't be adding to the household income but at least I won't be sitting on my thumbs. Lots of teaching jobs right now, for those who are accredited.

Plus I think the dog must like it or something because he's also got a book case near my computer that he sleeps on and she sits at the bottom and barks at him.
They're very confused animals.
They're bored. Chasing one another around keeps them occupied. Sounds to me like its the dog's problem, not the cat's. Dog is too dumb to leave the cat alone.
On the subject of weather we had some wicked rain here last Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. I live on a hillside and the water is still running off parts of the hill. I've got standing water in my back yard in some places.
My driveway is long with a squareish area at the top that we park the trucks on while the van and mom's BMW are in the garage. Well we put in a storm drain in the top area and when I was headed to the truck Thursday morning on my way to school the drain was covered in about a foot of water because the water had pushed so much mud and so many leaves over the top of the drain. There is still standing water in my back yard.
It's supposed to be in the 30s-40s right through Christmas with more rain coming Tuesday according to accuweather.
Hello every one.
Any one do anything fun over the weekend? I helped a buddy fix a fuel leak and attempted to replace his turbo wheel but that failed horribly. I never thought there would be a big difference in the 7.3 from 95-01 but I guess I was wrong.
I cant tell you how many people have asked me for a job or where to get an application from after they hear the stores going to open soon. Good luck finding a job in this day and age.
If he wouldnt have said how old he was I would have thought he had a college degree already.
Chris, you already know that I hold you in high regard also. Obviously your father and mother trust you enough, and you have enough of a buisness mindset to be sent 700 miles from home to open a new store, and talk to franchisees, at 19. Keep up the good work
You two guys, (as well as Kris, Jacob, and Nick) give all us "old fogeys" hope for your generation.
just means I need twice as many tools in my toolbox
My metric tools actually outnumber my standard ones. Probably because what I work on the most (outside of my own truck) are Japanese made motorcycles or autos. I believe most of the fasteners on my truck are metric as well. The Jeep...odd mix of metric and standard. Very strange.

I am an hour south( in good weather) of the quad cities on us 61.
We've had Thundersleet and Thundersnow here before...kind of strange to see heat lightning & hear thunder when it's snowing in the middle of winter. I'll check the website in the morning, but looking at the radar on TWC, the southeast corner is getting hammered while the west side of the state is completely clear. It's sleeting here now, but I think it's done. Once I get to KC tomorrow, I think I'm gonna be okay, just really, really cold!

As in, literally...it burned to the ground? That's crazy.

This is a pretty funny YouTube clip. Related to the shoe thing I posted earlier, but dubbed and mixed in with one of the Austin Power's movies. Apparently somebody on YouTube got it...LOL: YouTube - BUSH vs SHOE
We're not even in the 7.3 section anymore, and still being bashed by Window boy. I'm really getting sick of whiners on this site lately. I was even told to change my Santa Avatar....Ba-*****ing HUMBUG

Yea. Seems like we're in the minority. I constantly get harassed for actually doing work. When they do that I ask them why they wear work boots when they just sit on their *****.
Right now I'm working on an apple orchard. Over the summer I worked there doing a lot of string trimming and box shuttling. Right now I'm starting to learn about pruning the trees and when it's real miserable out I'll be painting the inside of a few rental houses on the property that just opened up.
Anyways time for me to head off for the night. School tomrrow.
