Wow..you did have a long day. Sorry to hear about the Nephew's truck, but at least he is okay.
The Toyota, was it a 22R?
22RE. Its fuel injected where the 22R is carbed.

I liked the Santa avatar myself and I'm with you on some of the folks.
I just realized that one of the liberties we kind of got away with in our own forum was talking a little politics, which is explicitly against the rules here... I hate this place.
Me too. Like I said before, it's like we're in a really bad hotel.

Ban the OT from the OT forum?

I agree with you, Joe. Still, we do not know the circumstances. Maybe it was a mother with a kid a dirtbag ex husband that won't pay his child support. Maybe it's someone that is homeless and cannot find a job. Hard to apply for a job when you don't have an address. Don't get me wrong, I'm no bleeding heart liberal. I cannot stand scumbags and I am all for the death penalty. It's just I have came to see some things in a little different light these past couple of years. Also, like you, I wouldn't steal. I'm skilled enough that I am pretty sure I could find a job and go to work.

Dallas was doing the same thing last week when it snowed here. She loved the snow.

My wife is a Literature teacher at a small private Christian school, that is basically a college prep school. I must say that your thought and composition abilities are much higher than some of her junior class. My wife of course grades longer essays and journals at home on the weekends. She has shown me some of the essays, and research papers her students have written, and I am just floored. one sentence paragraphs, one word sentences, etc.....
Pete, your parents have done a great job in raising you thus far, and you have done a great job in listening and actually understanding what is going on in the world around you. Keep up the good work.
I agree 100%. Pete has came across as not only very knowledgable, but also very respectful of others and that's a great combination to have, especially at that age.

I've seen that video before. What a dummy. I have a friend out in California that does rock crawling. That guy should have known that the rig that he was using wasn't going to make it, let alone his wheeling skills being terrible. He's no rock crawler.

I have something that I always say when we are talking about whiners at work.
"If this were a prison, we all know what would be happening to (the whiner)"
I've been trying to understand his H.O. for our O/T thread since it first appeared. He obviously reads the posts and then goes elsewhere and complains about them. Maybe even as far as PM'n the people that can move us around such as has happened. The O/T is kind of like a radio station that you don't like, if it bothers you, change the damn station. Like I said, I don't get it.
You too, Nick. A little tighter in there than you thought, eh?? (SHUT UP LISA!!!! )
Whaaat? Jeez. You don't even let me get in trouble on my own anymore

Once I get to KC tomorrow, I think I'm gonna be okay, just really, really cold!
My old Toyota was like that too...a frustrating mix of metric/standard.
The wind was blowing terribly last night, and it got really. really, really cold. Minus -18 with the wind chill according to the tube.

Hey maybe I'll invite you out to Iowa sometime and you can show me how to start up my own little orchard. Thats another thing id like to do with any land we might buy.

So my question is, what is keeping you from packing up and relocating? I assume the people you help are flown out to you in CA, from all over the country. Why not find a nice peaceful small town somewhere in the country, buy some acreage, and start up somewhere else?

Just curious. I had an old '86 and I could take that motor apart in my sleep. lol.

I wonder if alcohol was involved...or maybe he said "hey y'all, watch this!" first.

Some people have too much free time...
wonder if photobucket will post my pics better...they just want too much money...first pic sunrise today, second pic sunset last night.
Mark, I love your desert photos. I really want to see the desert one more time in my life, but it seems unlikely. There is nothing like driving "Route 66" Eastbound at sunrise in New Mexico. It is flat out plain old fashioned beautiful. Everyone should see it at least once in their lifetime. I have a few photos in hard copy that I've scanned and want to upload to Photobucket so they will be resized and I can post them here. It goes all the way to 100% then spits them back at me. Strange.
under File...you can choose batch convert/rename to resize a bunch of pics at once.
you can also set properties such as color depth and even make black and whites from color.
I thought it was a great avatar...made me wanna buy a santa suit...
Me too!!!

I've decided I like all of you too much to not have the OT so I will follow it wherever I need to. I dont have to like its location, but I like the people enough to do that. Glad Dallas is feeling like a pup too! I really enjoy the time playing with Kelly, she just makes me feel good.

Excellent post!
Well due to the snow we arent getting our babysitter for today, so since I apparently have the more "flexible" job, I'm staying in with the baby!
I'd rather sit inside today and have hot chocolate than go pound nails and deal with frozen tools today. The wind chill is -2 right now, and expected to get a little worse today with high winds. I cant tell you how happy I am that I sprung for the extra insulation in the house this year. Makes quite the difference.
Mark, those pics are amazing!! keep em coming. Makes me want to see the desert so bad.

even better...its FREE!
Thanx Mark, I did and have not played with it yet, but I will.
ok Y'all....I have to go see about Physical therapy...be back in a while!
I downloaded bitpim and tried it out...I need a little more time with it...it seems a little miffed with vista 64...I may boot up the old puter with XP and see if it works better...I will have some extra free time now!
Chris, you already know that I hold you in high regard also. Obviously your father and mother trust you enough, and you have enough of a business mindset to be sent 700 miles from home to open a new store, and talk to franchisees, at 19. Keep up the good work
You two guys, (as well as Kris, Jacob, and Nick) give all us "old fogeys" hope for your generation.
i wish we had some of "those type" kids here in Jersey Brandon.
all we get are gang-bangers that sit on the corners, deal drugs, and harass hard working people. you arrest one, and two take his place.
