I'm really trying to not knit-pick you, but there isn't a "lack of ANY kind of work". There is apparently a lack of work that they WANT to do. Dude, if I lost my job tomorrow, I'd be okay for a little while, but I'd pick up trash, flip burgers, or deliver pizza to make sure my family had food on the table (not saying those are demeaning jobs by any stretch -- just making a point!!). Stealing from someone would never be an option!
I agree with you, Joe. Still, we do not know the circumstances. Maybe it was a mother with a kid a dirtbag ex husband that won't pay his child support. Maybe it's someone that is homeless and cannot find a job. Hard to apply for a job when you don't have an address. Don't get me wrong, I'm no bleeding heart liberal. I cannot stand scumbags and I am all for the death penalty. It's just I have came to see some things in a little different light these past couple of years. Also, like you, I wouldn't steal. I'm skilled enough that I am pretty sure I could find a job and go to work.

I must say that I am impressed with your knowledge of current events, and you're obviously a well educated young man. You are a refreshing change from the perceived norm for your generation.
My wife is a Literature teacher at a small private Christian school, that is basically a college prep school. I must say that your thought and composition abilities are much higher than some of her junior class. My wife of course grades longer essays and journals at home on the weekends. She has shown me some of the essays, and research papers her students have written, and I am just floored. one sentence paragraphs, one word sentences, etc.....

Maybe even as far as PM'n the people that can move us around such as has happened. The O/T is kind of like a radio station that you don't like, if it bothers you, change the damn station. My metric tools actually outnumber my standard ones. Probably because what I work on the most (outside of my own truck) are Japanese made motorcycles or autos. I believe most of the fasteners on my truck are metric as well. The Jeep...odd mix of metric and standard. Very strange.

The wind was blowing terribly last night, and it got really. really, really cold. Minus -18 with the wind chill according to the tube.
Lisa: Anyone can get a horse and allow "disabled people" to ride it. Obviously the horse has to be EXTREMELY well mannered and healthy. As for our place. We are truly one of a kind in the U.S if not the world... We have people from social issues riding... To full quadriplegics and even people with only 5% brain function. i encourage anyone to give thought into doing something similar... The looks on the faces are way more worth then anything we could ask for...
Just curious. I had an old '86 and I could take that motor apart in my sleep. lol.

I've seen that video before. What a dummy. I have a friend out in California that does rock crawling. That guy should have known that the rig that he was using wasn't going to make it, let alone his wheeling skills being terrible. He's no rock crawler.

Mark, I love your desert photos. I really want to see the desert one more time in my life, but it seems unlikely. There is nothing like driving "Route 66" Eastbound at sunrise in New Mexico. It is flat out plain old fashioned beautiful. Everyone should see it at least once in their lifetime. I have a few photos in hard copy that I've scanned and want to upload to Photobucket so they will be resized and I can post them here. It goes all the way to 100% then spits them back at me. Strange.

Well due to the snow we arent getting our babysitter for today, so since I apparently have the more "flexible" job, I'm staying in with the baby!
I'd rather sit inside today and have hot chocolate than go pound nails and deal with frozen tools today. The wind chill is -2 right now, and expected to get a little worse today with high winds. I cant tell you how happy I am that I sprung for the extra insulation in the house this year. Makes quite the difference.
