Recieved the following from a friend of mine. He owns a shop that does lifts and stuff down in Victoria TX.....
I got this in an email, and thought yall would enjoy it....
This guy ran over a mattress and decided to keep going. The ensuing jumble finally whipped around enough to put a tear in the gas tank, the subsequent lack of fuel is what finally brought this vehicle to its knees.
It had still managed to drive 30 more miles with a 60 lb tangle wrapped around the driveshaft.
This genius complained that the vehicle had a "shimmy" when driving at high speeds.
See attached for what the dealership found..............
i wish we had some of "those type" kids here in Jersey Brandon.
all we get are gang-bangers that sit on the corners, deal drugs, and harass hard working people. you arrest one, and two take his place.
you prolly have them...you just dont see them hanging around...

I'm impressed that the truck went that far though.
Anyone have a good pair of wire cutters?
I have 6 pair...I'm thinking the long handled Snapon side cutters would be best...
That driveshaft is pretty terrible. I'd say forget the wire cutters and move on up to bolt cutters.
That sight is all too familiar for me, however. Our company has the contract to mow all the roadsides in the town of North Haven, CT.
We've got a Ford 6610 with cab and boom arm mower plus a Ford 5610 with mid mount flail mower. The 6610 is closed station and the 5610 is open station. It sure is nice to have a closed station tractor when you hit a bees nest. (only hit 1 and it was with the 6610)
Now to explain why that sight is familiar. When you pick up the remnants of a barbed wire fence with your mower you have a sight familiar to that one. I carry bolt cutters on both tractors just for that reason. You'd be amazed what nasty stuff will get caught up in a mower or explode when you hit it.
Nasty things that get caught:
Old smelly tarps
barbed wire - it's a pain to get out
fishing line - one of the worst to get out
last but not least UNDERWEAR
And for things that explode. Well you get these smartarses who pee in a bottle and throw it on the roadside waiting for the mower to hit it. Don't know if people do that in your area, but they do it here. If I ever catch someone that does that....
Finally, he lets someone take a pic of his face. Taken this morning:
Woo Hoo!! Congrats Scott!!

Might need something more than wire cutters.. make the poor fool do it!!
I have a sudden urge to go runover a mattress Done that in a much smaller scale with Barbed wire fencing while offroading. What a PITA to cut outta there! I went maybe 150 feet to make it out of the mudhole, and it got wrapped around the axle, down into the rear brakes, and around the driveline that fast! Doh
This is a tree in the neighborhood where I sort of live. The leaves have yet to fall. I had to really reduce the quality to get it to post. I could not figure out how to use that stuff AZ Mark linked for me, so it may look like chit. This is another scanned one.
Those are sweet pictures Mark. That color is amazing of the tree! (what kinda tree is it anyways?)
Sorry, but damned if I know. I just know the leaves have yet to fall, which means I have yet to rake them. How so many leaves end up in this yard is a mystery to me. That tree belongs to a neighbor.
