How much more school? I once had a girlfriend that got her teachers certificate in California and never used it one day. Moved to Park City, Utah and got filthy rich peddling real estate.

Depends on how I go about doing it. A lot of Masters programs have teaching certificate programs tied into them, and others are merely the minimum requirements to obtain necessary credits. I would also then have to pass the state/nationwide exam to obtain my license. I still have to go talk to the advisors at different schools around the area and see who has the best program for me, and, equally important, which school will consider me an in-state student.

Short term - 6- 9 more months of school.

Long term and to get Masters - a few more years.

You will love being a teacher, or teachers aid. Thats what my woman does for a living, and she has time off all the time, and she makes good money too, i think shes over 60k a year.

As for working out, Ive been lifting weights ever since I was 10ish years old or so. I dont like the whole cardio thing though, never have. Ive been getting into swiming for cardio lately, its harder then it looks! Id way rather hit the bench press then the pool, and the pool tires me out more!

Swimming is TOUGH!! Unless you are naturally gifted, get yourself some coaching - that will help you to be an efficient swimmer and really help you reap the benefits of that part of your workout.

My swim training for my first triathlon consisted of lounging in the bathtub...

My woman was a swimmer, and up until she was 14 or 15 she was in the top 100 of canada, in that age, she still holds a few records for this and that.

I got a good teacher for it!

I only asked because after the children were grown, my bride went to college at my expense. Graduated and got a job for about 60k a year and ran off with my so called pal. I am still a little bit on the bitter side about that. That jerk she's married to now has never had a real job in his life. So I am more or less supporting him and her to this day.

Yeah, back in college I thought I knew what I wanted. Now I have this career, and I don't want it anymore! I just want to spend time with my family, and go out and do things, and know that I am making some sort of difference in what I'm doing for a living. Right now I am a glorified paper pusher and all I am doing is making a rich guy even richer. on that!

Swimming is fun. I can see how you guys wouldn't like it. You have these heavy, bulky frames and you aren't very buoyant. Women have bult-in flotation devices.

In high school I had one of the fastest back strokes in my class. Only problem was, I couldn't do the breast stroke I'd choke on water every time. lol. I guess that X's me as a professional swimmer.

Mark - I won't be in college at Randy's expense. He has offered but the answer was no. I just use him for his body.

Mark, that sucks, that is one hell of a crappy expensive life lesson, that no one should have had to learn.

Sheldon, I just now noticed how many posts you have.

I did the math. Over a span of 4 years we're looking at about 49 months worth of time here (plus a few weeks).

24,736 posts

Thats approximately 505 posts a month. That comes out to 16 or 17 posts a day, every day, depending on how many days in a month.

Not that I mind. I think you're a cool guy.
