Thank you, everyone.
Tom, I will pass that along to them.
In case you guys didn't notice, Cody is with child. Susan and I will be grandparents in December.

I noticed of course, but didn't say anything out of fear I could be wrong. She isn't showing much but its obvious since they both placed their hands there.
We build progressing cavity pumps and power section drilling motors for oilwell drilling. Today we were threading stators, and that is the tolerance for an ID bore that is back 10" from the face of the tube. Takes a lot of patience.
I think I'll just stick to my fitter/welder postion. Congrats on becoming a Grandpappy.
Grand kids. You can do so much more with them then with your kids that had them. It's so funny, spoil them and send them home. . I have a grand doughter that we are raising. Same as your own, but she gets away with so much that I would never let my kids get away with.
Hold them in your arms. Do you remember your grand parents?
I do Rick. My grandfather was my grandfather, father and best friend in one package. My grand mother well she was just awesome. I miss the both of them so much. But I do have great memories!!!!!
Thanks, everyone. It should be really fun. Working on the truck, playing with the trains, going to the lake, playing with the dog....
Jeremy, they are both 19.
I still am a strong believer in getting started young. I was 20 and she was 19. We made it 35 years and had it been up to me we would still be together. The big advantage is you're finished raising children and are still young enough to enjoy the sudden freedom. We spaced our children 5 to 6 years apart, so by the time the youngest was born the oldest was able to be a big help to her mom. But we went to the Caribbean a couple of times a year, would spend most of the winter in Florida and both of us were still under 50. It was kind of neat. My son has friends that are in their mid thirties and not started on a family yet. Hells bells, they'll be on SS and their kids will still be in school.
