Thats a cool picture, even neater story behind it!
I always did like those styles of buicks, they were FAST in the stock form too.
Yea, bone stock straight from the showroom Grand Nationals/T-Types ran 12's with slicks, otherwise 13's. Still impressive to say the least, even by todays standard.
'87 Regal T-Type, I also own an '87 GNX but it's a racecar (I wish I never cut it up). Avatar is our 'Sunday' car.
Leaving church for brunch (hey, we were lined up side by side at a red light that feeds open interstate, you would've done it!) I was racing my wife in her Excursion and my son took photos...
That's me coming around her, real fricken hard!
I also had a 87 GNX, my brother bought it new, and then got shipped off to basic training, and a sea tour. when he left he threw me the keys and said dont wreck it, and it better have new tires when I get home. Many a hopped up IROC Z28 or T/A fell victim to the black death. they would take you just off the line, but once that turbo lit, you were gone in a hurry. there was no just stompin the pedal to the floor, if you did you just roasted the tires.
That is a definite must in my book Chris. Try on lots if possible and sit on your bike so you know how it feels.
Ive been getting away with just sweatshirts and a carhart if it gets colder, since I dont have the money right now.

Ive always loved that car, the GNX, there was one that was running around here a while ago. I like the IROC's too, there was a kid at my school that had one. I think he blew it up with some NOS though...he also did coke so he wasnt very smart...
Its been hitting 75-80 here the past 4-5 days, I cant get enough of it. I am looking for a good riding jacket rigght now though for when it starts getting colder.
It was 75 here this morning when I got to work at 6am. Literally. It's currently 77* and raining it's *** off.

I always like the g/n's t-types, grand prix's etc of those years, i never did get into the camaro's though. I was really into the mustangs (87-93) and camarao's were my mortal enemy haha.
Not that there was anything wrong with them, I had a buddy that swapped out the original 305, and threw in a 400 s/b all done up with nitrous. That car flew.

Its 79 right now, am Im getting ready to go riding today with some friends. Its a little cloudy but other than that its a good day outside here. Couldnt tell you what it was like a 6am here, I didnt get up till after noon.
The guy is very talented. He used to work for me but hated working for the man, so he quit and started his own fab shop two years ago. Last week he opened a second location that does blasting and painting. He's a hustler, and while I hated to see him go, I'm happy that he's doing so well.
I'm sorry to revisit this subject..but I just have to say (I know I'm a bit late)..Scott YOU DESERVE A MANAGEMENT AWARD FOR THIS.
Its rare that any boss wants what is best for his employee, above and beyond his own personal wants and needs. The fact that you are happy for him says it all for me.
Sorry to disrupt the current conversation. I'm just dealing with the opposite problem right now, and I wish my boss was more like you.
