Didn't upset me in the least. I was just trying to think of things that really set me off. Those were the only 2 that came to me, hence my remark that I must have already been pissed about something at work that day for me to get that mad about being flipped off by a biker.

 

Okay cool man. You cant always tell peoples tone in email and I know I'm guilty of occasionally sounded like a smart a**, so I wanted to make sure all was good. Very few things set me off as well, but once they do, look out.

 

Hey everyone, I'm finally back at home..trying to catch up on the OT thread.

So, I have some new news. We got a second offer on the house Today. This one is a full price offer, they are asking for closing costs (to be expected). Good offer. The first people who offered were told there was another offer on the house, and THEY raised their offer to full price. So, now, I have two full price offers, both of them almost exactly the same, two families that want the house bad, even the potential closings are only days apart. We decided on the one with the loan that is less restrictive on inspections..which I am told will happen this Friday...but the other offer is going to be put in as a backup contract.

Looks like I have my house sold, closing will be sometime end of November. I just hope to hell it ain't snowin when I try to move.

Trip out to see Randy was good, with exception to the flying and traveling. My flight to Cedar Rapids from Denver was canceled last minute. Good thing I am quick on the phone and I have a way with words. I managed to catch a flight leaving 45 minutes later to Des Moines, and I had Randy drive out and pick me up there. Most folks were pretty screwed and were told they either had to fly into Chicago Saturday night or wait until the next day to catch a flight to Cedar Rapids. I'm starting to understand why Randy hates United.

We heard about the 2nd offer on my house after I got to Cedar Rapids, so we went out and had margaritas to celebrate. Really good weekend, despite the canceled flight.

My boss called me into his office on Friday and asked me why I was selling my house (keep in mind that I have not told work about selling my house, or leaving, or any of this - I wasn't ready to until I had a closing date on the house) so I told HIM what's going down, and he was cool with it, so it looks as though everything is working itself out.

Brendan and Jeremy - I've never been skiing or snowboarding, so I'm not sure i'll be up for that day trip. I prefer sports that involve a throttle.

Jacob. Nice tractor. Aggressive driving behavior USUALLY never gets you anywhere, it usually gets you further behind than you were before.

That turbo jet engine was somethin else. Like Pop said, I would've been miles away from that thing, especially with the way it was basically grey taped to that propane bottle.

Joe - I liked the video of you and your guys beating the crap out of each other. I showed it to Randy, he laughed hysterically of course.

 

great to hear that you have 2 good offers on the home. I hope the move is in good weather too but it is Colorado!

Awesome news on the house, Lisa!! Very happy for you. Glad you had a good weekend and got to see Randy too. I'm sure that was good for you both.

If you prefer sports that have a throttle, we can probably arrange that too once you get to Iowa. Cedar Rapids is only about 4 hours away from Mid America Motorplex in Pacific Junction, IA (basically Omaha, NE). Get yourself a sportbike and we can have some fun with a throttle!

Thanks guys. Its definitely the news I've been waiting for.

Now all we have to do is get through inspection. Its an older house, and it isn't perfect. She is structurally sound, no cracking or settling (amazingly) and well insulated little house..but it does need some electrical updating so I think that'll end up costing me a bit of money.

It was nice to see Randy. Funny I was almost nervous to see him, like it was a first date or something.

Looks like everyone else had a decent weekend. I gotta say I was SHOCKED to get on here and see that Scott posted pictures of his BBQ..and this time we got a video!

 

Congrats on the offers Lisa!! I do agree that throttles add to the fun... hopefully I'll have an offer of Full-time employment soon, and then the hunt for a either a CBR1000RR or a CBR600RR is on!! 2006, all black... the rest is details.

Still, snowboarding can be AWESOME. The back side of Vail is wide open mostly, with trees spaced out 30'+ and basically you head in "that general downhill direction"... haha - in powder, you just disconnect your brain and bomb the run... wipeouts don't hurt, and the more air you get during a crash, the more style points you win!

Glad you had a great trip out to see Randy. Hope you didn't hurt him too bad.

Some day I want to get down there again, north of Port Isabel in the Rio Grand valley, there is an area that is supposed to be a bird watching capitol.
I love walking through the woods and trying to catch pictures of whatever wildlife there is.

I get to go for my 2 month follow up exam for my acl repair today, then after the woman gets home from work we get to go vote for the guy that will screw us over the least, and to boot its raining out!
