It was another nice and sunny day here, sounds like next week it`ll be cooler and quite windy. Our use of sunscreen are likely done for this year.
What did it cost for your rear window for the pickup John?
Good news on your parts Perry, who is Mikeo0o0o0o, a local wrecker?

Windy here to John, not to bad temperature wise but the wind screwed up the day
Mike is on the 73 to 79 forum and along with number dummy, they can find just about any part there is, who's got it and how many they have.
2 more days and I should be able to put down some paint, cutting it really close on this one, time line says I'm 2 days into the cold when I'm done. Don't think that will happen as tremclad doesn't set up below 5c.

Glad to see that FTE was able to come to the rescue once again.
Today was another gong show, a dental appointment to get bone/tooth fragments removed that were embedded in my gum after getting 3 bottom molars pulled last month. After I got home from that ordeal I rescued a friend`s dodge 1 ton that blew a rear axle bearing spitting out one of the axle shafts. He was hauling heavy crushed rock when the axle bearing seized up, the truck ended up sitting on the ground on that side.
When I paint with Tremclad something that's fairly small I put it on or beside a heat lamp which quickly cures the paint. Unfortunately you can't really do that with a truck.

Can you set up any heat lamps to help with the paint drying if the temps drop too low Perry..

I'm kind of SOL when it comes to painting this thing. I'll have an hour and a half max painting time but I, going to clear coat it at the same time and that should lock it in so the cool down at night shouldn't shrink it to bad. The bad part is hoping it dries and cures enough that I can put the blue tape on the white with out leaving a tape track behind or pulling up the white. I'm laying down the white stripes first as they are easier to fix if anything goes wrong, plus it breaks up the panel so I'm not committed to doing all the black at once.

That would be a real pita, losing a wheel bearing with a load of crush on. I think my dentist left a piece behind also Morris, feel a weird bump in my upper gum

I remember when I was just a kid living in Toronto there was a guy who painted his car out on the street but he should have used a garden hose to wet down the road to control some of the dust...lol All in all it didn't look too bad from a distance, might be how Macco came about...lol
