That picture should help him. It sounds like the dealership tore everything apart with plans of replacing with all new parts. I will almost bet it is just a bad sensor. IIRC the IPR has to be plugged up to work, the ICP being unplugged will allow a default start, but run poorly.
I agree Barry. This is some of the worst Stealership abuse I have seen. I am glad you guys got him away from them. A bunch of blood suckers, that;s what thwy are. I'm gettin' all worked up and its not my truck. Better head for dinner.
That is part of your IPR. It slides over this part
with the small piece first the the relay with the plug. It is held together by a cheap gold colored nut that threads on the right side of picture. Left side threads into HPOP. Look at the picture I posted. You will see it down behind the fuel bowl drivers side of HPOP. All that will be there now is the right side of the piece you see above. When it is put together correctly it should look like this.
With the left side screwed into the HPOP and wires clamped on the black connection on the bottom, which will be mounted facing up when on the truck.. This has to be put back before you do anything else. You should be able to find the little nut you can see at the right side above.
My picture was taken from above looking strait down. the IPR is hard to see and hard to get to.
Alrighty then............can we start again?
I have everything put back together.
Changed #30 fuse
Topped up oil in res.
Have the battery charger on it.
Next was unplug the ICP and try it?
Guess what it started............................
But one small screw up on my part................I didnt put the res plug back in and when it started I blew oil everywhere.I see why its called a high pressure pump!
Ive got the BIGGEST MESS you ever saw.
Yep. From the oil on the ICP and the low pressure from the test, unplug the ICP and see if it will start. If it does you need a new ICP (which you probably do anyway from the oil description)
I guess I didn't get back quick enough. Congratulations (sort of). Well after refilling the HPOP and trying again does it still start? It sounds like you solved your problem.
Hope the weathers nice where you are since it sounds like you've got some cleaning to do.
Edit: In case you haven't figured it out by now. Find a new dealer.

Great, not about the mess but that it started. Get that reservoir plug back in and try to restart and post results.
