Nah that couldnt be it i drive through water lots and its never quit.
I see no holes in the fender lining.
I didnt mention the car wash because Ive never had a problem with a diesel concerning anything getting wet.
Driving through water and pressurized water are differant. A crack in the wheel liner could have allowed water the get to the IDM and that will cause problems until is dries out. But if you don't have a hole or crack then that's probably not your problem. When is your ICP going to be there?

Since you have one coming and it's paid for, I would change it out and go on about your business. What ever caused your problem seems to be good now. A bad ICP can come and go for a while and if they did find oil under the connection like they said, then it is going bad.
So I went to Ford today and asked for my $300 back.
They agreed , didnt even look to see if my truck was running or not.
So they didnt give it back but they said they would.
I guess they didnt have $300 bucks on the premises?
I think I would have stood there holding out my hand for the check!!
zx250 - great picture - it was the eot sensor that I unplugged after unplugging the icp.
I've started and run the truck with no problems a couple of times since. I'm pretty convinced that unhooking the sensors didn't do much for helping me start the truck. Probably the hpop was low and eventually filled up after cranking it enough. But I feel like I got a good education on trouble shooting without the p.i.t.a. of taking it to the dealer.
Thats what is so great about this site!

You should have asked if they need you to finance it for them.
They probably just need to get a check cut for you from corporate after they've insured your funds have cleared. Not even wanting to look at the truck sounds like they don't really have a qualified diesel tech on hand. You showed back up with a bunch of knowledge and all they had was what the computer told them to do. At least they're honest enough to agree to the refund.
Now just keep your eyes open for a good diesel tech in case you come across something you can't or don't want to do yourself. For all the other stuff we'll be here.

What a good deal, Save any transaction receipts just in case you need them in the future. You are going to like not having the adds pop up and the tee shirt is really nice. You also have some new rep points

Mine was instant, this is weird. There was another guy who joined and didn't get instant access.
