What does "GO BIG OIL " mean?
See what I mean about a good attitude? I would have said driven it THROUGH their front door.

Big Oil means a fancier HPOP that can produce more power to run bigger injectors for those who like to modify their truck for lots of horsepower.

I think the owner of the dealership in your fairly small town will end up being on your side. He probably has no idea what his service techs have done.

Scott. The best advice I can give you on your .org problems is to pack up and leave those guys. The grass is greener on this side of the fence anyways.

I just came in and saw you posted this link on how to make a tool.
I laughed because I was planning something the same.
I have my socket sitting on my desk with a nut I was going to weld on the end of it so I could use a ordiniary wrench.
So I wasnt to far off on planning to build something.
But I think ill do like your link says .

Kinda of a coincidence. My truck is white over silver and I used to have a Wilderness 5th Wheel.

You won't be calling it "dead truck" tomorrow. I wish I could be there when you drive up to the dealership.

I'm gonna hit the sack. Be watching for you tomorrow. Later.

Its running !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I went for a short drive.
It was hard to start the first couple of times but it seems to be getting better.
But why did it quit to start with?
Low oil in the HPOP?
If so where did that oil go as I did check it once and it was OK.

I dont know how to thank you guys but thanks a bunch.

Im going to drive around for a hour or so (have things to do) and make sure it doesnt quit then Im going to drop around to Ford and see if they want to give me my $300 back.

Ken,

Glad to hear you are driving it around. The HPOP has been know to leak and drain down the reserve oil. I will search for some threads concerning that.

If everything is OK it will begin to run better after all the air is out of the high pressure oil system. Can't wait to see your post after you visit the dealer.

Edit : If you find that the HPOP reservoir is draining down post back and we will give you some help with that.

I have not been online the last several days I am glad to see you got it going.
I would definitely be talking to that dealer and getting your money back.

I have been following this since post #1 and I am very glad to hear that you got it up and running. The only bad thing that came out of this is knowing that you won't be able to trust those Service Techs again. At least you have us....I am not sure if that is good or bad! ;-)

Air in the oil system will cause it to be hard to start for a while. A number of reasons could prevent a PSD from starting. Low oil, weak batteries, bad IPR, bad ICP and that is just a few. You have it running, that is a big start. If you ICP was indeed leaking oil, that will have to be replaced. Sounds like the IPR is ok. I assume you have fixed you oil leak. Is you ICP (the easy one to get to) plugged up? How does it run?
Run it a while and park it, check the oil level in that HPOP (hex screw on top side) after it has set over night and see if the level is still within an inch or so. If not, your pump is leaking down and that will cause no starts, but can be repaired. With all the cranking you have done over the past few days, I wouldn't be surprised if your batteries are starting to weaking. Repeated discharges are hard on older batteries.

Update ...............
The service manager says the pumps going to go soon.
He wanted to know if I would drive it for a week before I got my money back.
He seems to think they are right so i guess we will see as I gave him the week he asked for.

I offered to give him a link to this thread but he didnt want it.
So Ill print it off and keep it for reference.

He says cranking the truck tops up that res everytime?
Then it drains down again.
He agrees it probably needed oil but that was only because some leaked out when they worked on it.

So i guess I will just drive it for a few days and see what happens.
Ive got that new ICP coming.

If the pump is "leaking" down whats the fix for that?

Thanks again for all the help.
