U guys crack me up! ...


I only had ONE drink last night ... and it wasn't very strong either ... spent some time with my wife ... plus getting stuff done around the house that I won't be able to after the surgery.

I saw my doc yesterday in preparation for the surgery...she tells me she will basically cut me wide open again! ... The incision last time was over 10" from sternum to a few inches below my belt line...she will use the same site again...I told her to put in a ZIPPER!...this time she is planning on inserting mesh to strengthen the abdominal wall to prevent future tears...but things could have been a LOT worse...so I'm actually looking forward to surgery #16 to hopefully get the cronic low level pain taken care of...

Of course...she promised me stuff MUCH MUCH stronger than alcohol! ... when this originally happened in 2004...the stuff they gave me they said was like 8 times stronger than morphine...after 5 months on it...I was HOOKED...took some time to wean myself off of it as you can imagine!!!...I do NOT want a repeat of that dependency!!!

So I'm looking forward to our AA uh...I mean EX meeting next August...the MORE members the BETTER!

Shirts would be way cool too...

We've got to remember that a drive on Deals Gap is a MUST with our LUMBERING BEASTS...of course...the crotch rocket bikers will be PISSED!!!...all the more reason to do it...they should be riding REAL bikes anyway!...LOL

As a matter of fact YES...we stayed at Camp Hatteras end of July early August after visiting Williamsburg area...why?...were you there?...we met up with a fellow Ex owner 'willald' and his family and did some beach driving...what a BLAST!

And YES I am short!...plague of being Italian with short Italian parents and grand parents!...but the last guy that called me that is swimming with the fishes!

 

Whens ur next surgery joe? Its priceless that she promised u stuff more stronger then alcohol. Alls u really needs is a bottle of vodka. Just like they did in the oldin days and i mean oldin dars like the civil war and crap.

 

Is this the final surgery or are there more to follow

Surgery is set for Thursday December 13...I'll likely be in the hospital 4-5 days and off work 6-8 WEEKS!...

So nothing minor here...I'm gonna be sore as hell...

"Hopefully" with the addition of the mesh this time...this should be the last repair...but the way I lift and live...I'm not 'gentle' in anything I do...So I could always need another 'repair' if I end up tearing something again...

Since the last surgery which was in Feb 2005, I have gotten back to heavy squats and deadlifts...I can again do full situps and have my six pack (not beer) back...so it will be hard for me to go from how healthy I feel now to revert back to not being able to work out for a while...but in the end...this repair should reduce most of my discomfort from all the small and large hernia's I have...at least that is her story!...
