I'm pretty active over on RV.net...while there are many agendas and personalities over there...if you pick carefully, you can mine the information you are looking for...that forum is much different than this one...LOTS of flaming over there...but still a HUGE data base to draw on...

So...I can help as can many over here...probably the best place to start would be RV shows in your area...at those...you get to walk thru ALL the floorplans and see what you like...most all the RV mfgs have their version of the SAME floor plan with their little twist on it...each mfg has their plus and minus as well...

But if you start with the RV shows...you will at least know what floor plan you like...then you can look on-line at all the different mfgs web sites to see what their benefit is be it outside storage access, larger holding tanks, fiberglass siding, etc...

So my suggestion since RV shows will begin in Jan/Feb...is take a look at them to get your search jumpstarted...then you can ask about differing brands...

Obviously weights and lengths will play into the overall towing experience...but you said your hubby has a SD?...and you have the Ex...so you are starting with two good TV candidates!

Beth, in your case, I would look for one that has one bedroom and double bed only. No sense in having a bunch of beds taking up space if it's only you and the husband.

I have two human kids a son,16 6'3 and a just turned 9 year old daughter 5'2 so I have the tall family plus all these golden's!!!! I think I'll hit the RV show like Joe said and see what looks good, beds are always an issue I'm 5"10 and DH is 6'2 such a pain in the a$$, well not my husband yeah he is, well nevermind, you know what I'm trying to say!!!~
