Hey guiri - it's easy for you (non-working) to just pick a date out of the air and go... for the rest of us 'married with chiildren' folks, we have to actually do some planning and budgeting.

I'd opt for a week long debacle with folks being able to show up and go...but planning the 'big' meet for a weekend would likely get the most there to meet and greet...perhaps show up and check in on a Friday with the 2nd being the group hug events?...just thinking out loud...

My family would likely plan the week there or at least 5 days...there's a bunch to do and see in that area...

Hey, I'm just trying to get this thing going. I've already said that i don't care about when or where, I'll go. I would LIKE to go when it's cold but I don't see it happening.

Also, I think if we fart around for a week, it'll be good. That way people can come and go as they please. We START on a weekend and then whoever wants to stay a week can.

Yeah, we'd proably plan at least a 5 day trip, of not a whole week.

We should start looking at CGs (I ***ume that you will be taking your TT). It would be nice if we could all (those that camp) get in the same CG and general area. We could talk about our X's over a couple of beers and roaring fire...

YES...I'd tote the TT...and YES...that's what I'm planning...I will tote more beer than I could possibly drink alone...the V10 LOVES to drink and so do I!!!

Beer, roaring fires and new friends...that's what it is ALL ABOUT!!!...if I were shy or reserved...well I wouldn't be ME and I wouldn't camp!

jack,

I'd say you have it right...and I'd also say group...

Do you tote a TT?...

We will likely find a nice CG and book a 'block' of sites that folks can pay for themselves out of the 'block'

I'll talk with George (guiri) about a few campgrounds or if anyone has one they have stayed at and liked...that would be great...Good Sam's parks are usually nice ones and you get a 10% discount if you are a Good Sam's member ($12 per year for NEW members)...KOA's are usually pretty good too...

I'll do some reasearch to find a few options and we can see which ones folks like...

What would be nice is if we could find a campground near a decent family hotel for those without campers...we could all hang at the campground and fire and beer though!

Is this what everyone is thinking or am I off base???

joe.

Mark suggested it...I think it is an excellent way to form friendships...I've shared many beers around campfires with people...I've also formed many new friendships that way...haven't found a better way yet!...would love to do so with you guys and your families too!...

Joe, I think you're on the money.
The only thing is, I won't be able to hang out outside because the mosquitoes will eat me alive and I know this sounds like a bunch of bull**** but they will not touch anyone else while I'm around and another reason I wanted to do this when it's cold.

I'd still come and stay for a few days though and I can hang out during the day

I might even try to rent one of them big campers or sumptin as I'm sure I'll bring the dogs.

Joe, u dont want to form the friendships, u want the beers haha All kidding a side, i do believe u on how it is a good way to form a friendship. After the camp fire, i was thinking bout giving my truck a treat and pouring some beer or vodka in the tank. I know it wont like it, but mayb it will drink less?? Does anyone agree?? I got that idea on this forum, some on this forum poured vodka in the carburator of his 78 f250 460 and posted the results in the general automotive thread a couple months ago
