So far it has been reduced to a east coast meet. But that doesnt mean someone on the west coast could start their thread and organize a meet for the westcoast
Personally I can't do now...TT is tucked away in the barn...I guess wifey and I could get a chalet...hmmm....that'd be fun...
But seriously...Spring would be tough to coordinate all the varied spring break times for families...
Looks like Summer would be the best option?...I know you hate the heat George (as do I)...but from a coordination standpoint...I think Summer would be the best turn out...
July 4th is on a Friday this year...perhaps that week...then folks wouldn't need a full week vacation?...just a thought...
But I really think summer will garner the most shows...but that's just my opinion...

Are you out of your mind??? That would almost as bad as going to Myrtle Beach for the 4th... we'd be lucky to find any available hotels, motels or CGs with vacancies. It's a redneck paradise that time of the year (no derogatroy intent, I consider myself a redneck). Plus, although, some people would not have to take additional vaction time (read: I don't get paid holidays), the additional costs of traveling (gas, accomodations) would increase the cost of the meet (read: I'm a freaking tightwad).
We'll proably go on vacation a week or two after the 4th. So my vote is for early spring (apr/may) or late summer (sometime before school starts).

If they consider it redneck paradise around that time, then i am game in going for sure!
Agreed...bad week to plan a get together...we normally book things 6 months out...so we get a jump on the other fellow rednecks! (I've been called a redneck with money!)
I still think trying to coordinate all the varying spring break times would be hard...so I'd think late summer before school starts is a good plan...
Here in the south, it's always be traditional for everyone to take the 4th of July for vacation - it spawns form all of the cotton mills shutting down for that week. Most workers got little, if any, vacations days, so this became the only week of the year to take a 'real' vacation. Though most of the cotton mills have packed up and moved south of the border - old habits are hard to break.
From Wikipedia Redneck, in modern usage, predominantly refers to a particular stereotype of white farmers or other rural white people, who may be found in many regions of the United States. Originally a southern expression, the term is now widespread. Today, the term can be used either as a pejorative or can be used for oneself as a matter of pride. The blunt definition of the stereotype describes one who lives in a rural American area, is uneducated, naive, poor, stubborn, sometimes would own a pickup truck, carry a shotgun, listen to Country music, and would have the apparel of a farmer or cowboy, and even though some rednecks live in the north, the stereotype has all of them with a southern accent. Many northern rednecks have adopted a mild southern accent, which they may have voluntarily adopted from southern music.
