I did change my shift points, but the reve limiter is still a few hundred rpm higher than the shift points? So should I worry about the wastegate noise or no?
The Edge sure makes a bland truck fun.
Just got my tuner yesterday...cant wait until I start messing around with it. Put it on LVL2 yesterday for my drive into work and I can noticeably tell the difference. SHout out to Discount Power Parts for their super fast shipping...ordered it on Friday evening online and got it in less then a week considering the holiday. Thanks guys.
No problem. We always ship out same day if its ordered by about 4PM eastern. We use UPS 90% of the time and packages typically are delivered 2-3 work days after the order. I fig your paying me to work for you, the least I can do is ship it that same day.... Thanks for the shout out, that is worth $1000 in advertising.....one customer telling another about a great experiance! Thank you!
started reading about edge and have a question, we only have 91 & 95 octane. what is the effect on the edge programing and the performance of my truck?
another question what if I just run with the default, what do I get power, AMPG, transmission perfroamnce?
Thanks.I will try, but can anyone please tellus about the octane thing. We only have two options 91 and 95. what is the effect on programming and on the defualt settings.
i run 93 octane with it on level 3. Runs great! I did take it to the dealership for a rattle problem, and they said that the edge was a good investment, however, they said not to screw with the custom settings unless you are absolutely sure what you are doing. Mine is on level 3, no custom settings except for the tire size which i had to adjust because i have the 3" skyjacker and bigger tires. You should be able to use 91 or 95 oct and be fine if you are on level 3.
you should be able to run 91 or 95 with level 1 and level 2 and obviously with level 3. if you do not mind spending the extra cash for the gas, it will not hurt anything. However, you can run 87 oct with level 1 or 2. I rarely change mine from level 3, but when i do, is still run 93 oct.
Obligatory bump. Took mine out today to see if there are any updates. I think the summer fuel blend takes a bit of power out of the truck. Anyone else notice any changes with the summer fuels?
hey i have been searching the intranet for tuners and i like what the edge has to offer but iam wondering is it worth it i recently added single dual exhaust and a k&n intake and was wondering is the edge worth it?? i do like the mounting option with the added gauges
Apparently these trucks have a problem with hot climate. As for the fuel don't know but everything is possible!!, suspect the engine cooling needs improvement...may be these truck need extra fan. Any idea to add an extra fan is appreciated
Back to Edge, if I use 95 and the first time I connect the unit, should I adjust the settings for the fuel to match 95? how? and can you change the settings back to 91?
Also, I am really curious about the fuel setting in the stock program! is it 87, 91..?? How can I know before connecting the the EDGE?
Thanks!
