Transmission didnt jump out of the truck at this setting??

 

I just HAD to chime in ,Ive bean reading @ reading @ reading about this EDGE ya get with the EDGE .I dont understand I havent ordered the Edge yet Becouse Im OK with the stock set up .I almost cant see or feel the differance on the tuner . Is it worth it ??????????

From what we have heard, the thottle responce fix alone is worth the price of admision for this ride. I guess the extra HP and trans tuning is just a bonus. Not to mention the cool functions like 1/4 mile times.

 

I had the edge in my truck for a full week and yes the throttle response correction is worth every penny that you pay. I leave mine on stage 2 with no mods and the truck is like a whole different beast. Shifts are 100% better and the throttle response is unbeleavable. I am a very happy owner of this product. Highly recomend it.

Wow! Finely got mine in the mail, UPS sucks!

My thoughts on the EVO. On setting 2 (towing) it turns the truck into a car removing any sluggishness stock had, makes the truck sound meaner and the shifting snappy. I haven't tried the other settings yet, that will be today. Easy install, lots of display settings, alerts you on adjustable temps, rpm, and speed levels, and records different information for later viewing on your computer at home.

I'll give it a 7 out of 10. 10 being a Supercharger, 4 being air intake, and 5 being exhaust.

I second Dexsure on the 7.

I have mine in tow mode, timing +1 (87 octane and EMPTY), shift firmness +3all, raised shift points a little, changed tire size.....much more responsive, passes great.

 

I just purchased the edge tuner today for my 01 ford 5.4 triton,I loaded level 2 and it is more responsive at lower rpm but still not happy with the shift firmness.can it be set with level 2 loaded and how are you custom tuning there program,with mine I downloaded level 2 and after it said to disconnect,do I rehook it up and scrool around a bit

 

Or is it that you can not extra tune with the 01 edge,can you still download updates the manf date on mine is 04

 

I am not sure if the edge for your truck, is the same as the edge for our trucks (since this is the 04+ forum, and yours is 97-03).

Just to be clear:
With the edge you have 3 files available.
1 - Tranny tune
2 - Tow file (Includes Tranny tuning)
3 - Performance File (Includes Trans tuning)

Within the files, you can select to firm up the shifting or soften it from the default.
Within the files you can choose to adjust the timing/octane up or down to find your trucks max usable timing....every engine is a bit differant.
You can adjust tire size and gear ratio changes.
They are free to update with the newest releases of the software from Edge.
They include the pod in the price, unpainted in a black finish. You can choose to clean and paint the pod to match any color you wish with commonly available interior vinyl paint from your local parts store.
They include the USB cable to perform updates free and inside the box.
They have adhesive backed velcro for mounting to the dash inside the box.
Edge is very interested in customer support and customer service and have NEVER left a customer hanging without thier EVERY attempt at getting an issue fixed. I have personally sold over 300 of these units and have seen only one truck that was resistant to working with the unit....Edge got it fixed and the customer is truckng onward.
There is no product on the market today, or coming in the nearly forseeable future that combines the benefits, features, quality, cost, and looks of this product....there is no competition for the Edge Evolution for the F-150 today.
