76 F250 Supercab. I am the third owner. It has 97,ooomiles with factory A/C that still blows cold, camper special with dealer added tiedowns and had a topper which I sold because it was to heavy for me to lift. Bought it to haul the camper but sold the camper and bought a travel trailer. 14,500 lbs combined weight and the 390 never misses a beat. Ten years ago I built a 390 for my 1964 f250 4x4 which is still purring, but no airconditioning. I use it to get into the mountains during hunting season and for hauling. The 76 is just for comfort while towing. Like them both. wish the 76 was 4x4.
I have a 1978 F350 Supercab Ranger XLT Trailer special. 7.5L 460 with the C6 and dual exhaust with a crossover. PS, PB and A/C. I'm supposedly the 4th owner, and it's an original Arizona RUST FREE Truck.
My truck was Manufacturued 10/77 but it has the Square Headlights. Is this changed out? I thought they went to the square headlights in middle of the '78 production year?
Hey, I just bought a 1979 SuperCab f-250 Ranger Trailer Special 4x4 a week ago. It appears to have a 460, although the VIN tag shows it should have a 400. Mileage reads 10,000 - obviously 110,00 or 210,000. I don't know much about it other than it is in pretty nice shape and runs great. It has a bench rear seat. It was on a used lot for $3999, I traded my fj40 LandCruiser for it straight across. So far, I love it.

A '79 F-350 Supercab 4x4. 85,000 orig. mi. Lariat w/air, cruise, tilt, camper package, etc. Original Ocean City, Ca. truck that now will probably spend the rest of my life in Ct. Stored inside for the winters.
hello everyone,
I have a 1979 supercab, 4X4 long bed, dana 44 up front and dana 60 in the rear. It contains a bored out 400, headers, Dualed out exhaust, single plain EB intake, 4 barrel EB 650 carb. Its riding on 35's on 16" wheels. I absolutely love this truck. Only wish I had a 4 door cab! There are no other trucks like this one in my area. so it it quite a converation starter at the gas station. The frame up restoration hopefully will begin in febuary 2005. I can't wait!!!!
OK, my apologies for posting "parts" stuff here, but I just saw these on eBay and I was about to post (in the RIGHT place) and I saw the shout out to all you Supercab owners and I figured I'd bend the rules a little. Sorry!
Need Seats? I saw these tonight, and right now they're at $20. Here's the info, hope one of you can use them! Cameron

Hi, Up here in PA, I've got two supercabs. Both are 8 ft beds, one is 2wd F-250 and the other is a 4x4 F-250. I,m building the 4x4 in to a custom truck, adding 8 inches to the cab to put 6 inch stack out the back of the cab. With a 7.3 Intnational powering the truck. That the plains, as long I get the time for the project I'm happy to here that there are so many of this trucks out there. Have a great day.
79 F-250 Supercab, white, only slightly rusty (which will get fixed in teh spring), with bucket seats and a bench jump seat. Rest of the stats are in the signature

I have to agree - I just got done spending two weeks hunting in the Utah Backcountry (damned deep in the Rocky Mountains), and while I should've bought stock in at least three oil companies before I left, the 460 did wonders in dragging my 25' dual-axle camper over some damned ugly roads. (The trailer weighs about 9200 lbs or so when it's fully loaded, as this one was.)
In spite of the fact that I don't have stabilizer bars on the hitch, that old monster and its wheelbase made the whole drive there and back rather comfortable. There was only one time when I couldn't literally accelerate up a hill, and that was because not even a fairly loaded Peterbilt could manage it without bogging down... and on that hill, I could still maintain a steady speed. Aside from that one exception, I found that on hills where my buddies' newer rigs would usually bog down, I only had to stomp on the pedal, open up the back barrels, and I could actually accelerate at any point in the haul. (One was a Chevy Yukon... had a ball laughing at him as I passed him on one particularly nasty hill... <img> .)
Oh, and did I mention that the truck bed also held a 55-gallon drum full of drinking water, a full toolbox, quite a few jerry-cans of gasoline, a pallet I use as a porch, and a couple of large (and full) propane tanks for the trailer?
I will say one thing - in spite of the ungodly long wheelbase, that old beast is pretty nimble when it has to be - I never had a problem navigating what are usually considered to be 4x4-only roads (though in fairness I did avoid the real nasty stuff...)
I am trying to get this thing ready for next spring, I need help finding what I think are called cab supports or floor supports. they run from rocker to rocker any help out there. Where can you buy these things.
