Calling All Supercabs

I'd like to hear from other Supercab owners ('75-'79) to see how many are left out there, may be even start a registry like the one for Crew Cabs.
Happy New Year!!!!! Rick

I've got a 78 short box with a 460 and C6. It's a Trailer Special, got factory air and rear bench. Ditto on the rust free parts, Supercab. Mine's been in Wisconsin too long.

I have a 1975 SuperCab, 390/C6, Factory Air (R12), rear bench seat, factory sliding window, white with green side panels. I bought new in 1975 for $6,500.00. Southern California desert vehicle. No rust at all. I just love this truck. 105,000 original miles. I pull a 1983 Alpenlite 28' 5th wheel with no trouble at all. Great site, access it daily. Lets here from more SuperCabs.

Gary
Still live in So/Cal desert. 75 degrees high today.

I bought a 1978 F150 Ranger Lariat Supercab a couple years ago. It's got a 460/4bbl, C6 with 2.75 gears(yuk), cruise, factory cb radio, and used to have ac. It's got 140,000+ miles logged on the odometer, most of those in Iowa where the use of salt in the winter destroys sheet metal:-( It needed a lot of work when I got it, and slowly, it's getting better. Strangely enough, it's been used to tow a gooseneck, and with those rotten gears. It still needs exhaust, has developed a rear main leak, need to swap out those gears, radiator needs repaired, it needs a driver's side door panel, etc... By the way, I only paid $200 bucks for the truck. I bought it so I could load the whole family in it and go camping or boating without having to take two vehicles.

I've got a '79 F250 Ranger XLT Supercab 4x4 longbed. It's got a mildly built 460 & Heavily built C6 with NP205. Other options are:

Tilt
Cruise (not hooked up after 460 swap...)
Dealer installed A/C
Racetrack chrome
Chrome grille
rear bench seat

It had a 400m with NP435 when I got it. So I quickly changed that out. It is my daily driver that takes me 50 miles round trip.

That would be cool to start a club.....

Ryan.

I have a 1976 F-150 Ranger Supercab Shortbox with a 400/C6. The options are:
A/C
Cargo Light
Bumper Guards
Chrome Trim
Rear Jump Seats
Towing Mirrors
and thats about all there is.
It is brown in color with a brown and tan interior combination which looks really good for the age. The body has very minimal rust but does have some dents. All in all I think it looks pretty good for being 25 years old.

I'm the original owner of a 76 F350 supercab XLT with 460/C6; 69K miles. Truck was ordered with all options except cruise. Also have the Ford fiberglass cap for the bed. Truck has been garaged since purchase and is in near new condition. Just a few mods: replaced front bench with OLDS 98 60/40 electric seats ; Sony head; 16-inch Alcoa wheels with Michelin tires, and a few autometer guages. Except for mileage (8.5MPG), it's still a great truck.

Got a 79 SuperCab shortbed 2wd. Has A/C, cruise, tilt, Delay wiper, original vanity style mirror and light for the passenger and the only rust is on part of the passenger floor. Have perfect dashpad and door panels also. The 400m and 4spd have 97 K on them. I have 42 K mile 460 and c6 to throw in there. Think she is going to be converted to a 4x4.

Howdy,

I have a line on supercab parts. Cabs, rear seats, (both bench and jump style, a headliner or two, sun visors, gauge clusters, etc. Send me a wish list and maybe I can help you. I'm in north central Texas, (Ft. Worth - Dallas) so shipping might be pricey if you're not close.

I have a '77 F250 Ranger XLT Supercab 2wd I'm parting out. It has the rear bench seats, headliner chrome, etc. The cab is not in too bad of shape. A little rust here and there. But I don't see any major rust going through the floor boards. Email me if you may be interested. It is located in Newport Oregon (on the coast....)

Mine is a '78 Supercab (square headlights) 460, C6,4x4 D60 front and rear w 3.54 gears, not a camper special but does have the trailer package. Ranger trim, Gooseneck and receiver hitches. Bed is totally shot, drivers floor has a hole rusted through. I picked up a decent bed locally (In VA) and plan to install it in the spring and paint the truck then. Am looking for a front seat or will get this one recovered. Outside is dark green over light green. Inside is all dark green.

i was out at the junkyard last saturday looking for a decent guage panal for my 79 standard cab, one of the guys who worked there pointed me toward a 77-78 (cant remember) 2WD supercab that was in near perfect condition, interior and exterior, no engine or tranny, but every thing else was in really good condition, not even any rust that i noticed, well needless to say i couldnt put myself to take the dash from that truck. but a rare find none the less

I recently bought a 1979 F250 Supercab 4x4. I rescued the truck from being used as a plow truck on a farm. The Truck has a 400ci with a 4 speed. Western Plow, and a Holmes 440 Wrecker on the back. The Cab is quite rusty (replaced the floorboards) but it runs good. I'm currently re-building all the brakes and having a little trouble with the charging system. I really enjoy the Truck. It's my Toy... Im surly interested in talking to other Supercab Owners....

Thanks
Wrecker
